I originally purchased this set to attempt to make Al Pastor at home on my smoker. I've used it twice now, once for making chicken shawarma (using the shorter of the 2 included skewers) and most recently to make smoked Pork Al Pastor tacos on the smoker (used the longer of the 2 skewers). You will note that a drip / catch pan is required when using this device, but is no problem, easily fits inside of a 10" skillet (cast iron or otherwise). Storage when not in use is very simple as well, the original packaging is quite durable and has a very nice foam piece inside that securely holds each skewer and the base. ... show more

I finally threw in the towel and purchased the Al Pastor Skewer for Grill and talk about game changer. In the past I would use a wooden stick try and hold the meat together and upright. This little device is built solid, very happy with it and has made smoking pork Al Pastor on the pellet grill extremely easy. Bought to make my special pastor tacos on the grill and it works wonderfully. Have the choice to use the 8in or the 12in rod, depends how much your gonna make. Is sturdy once screwed in and very easy to clean once taken apart.

We recently went to a Brazilian restaurant and wanted to replicate the experience at a home dining party. I wasn't sure based on the picture how sturdy the spikes would be or if it would stay put together with meat on it, etc. This is a great product! We stacked almost two pounds of meat on the spikes/skewers and left one of the skewers standing in the stand for visual effect. Made our dinner party very fun! I got this to make al pastor tacos. Simple, easy product that works as intended. I used the shorter skewer as the taller one wouldn't fit in grill, but definitely nice to have the two options. Material held up well after 6 hours on the smoker with no residue or burnt on material, and cleaned easily. Good product! ... show more
