I purchased both the Los Angeles and the Black & Pink set after someone showed me their own Akko keycaps (Cherry profile, Neon). I must say - these keycaps are certainly worth their asking price, and the nice thing is that they'll always be available! No groupbuy shenanigans. These come packaged with a cardboard sleeve and a plastic case, which essentially has these "stems" to mount the keycaps not in use. The fitment is a little tight, but that ensures the keycaps will stay in place when you close the case. While I have nothing against the cardboard boxes with typical clear plastic trays that come with most keycap sets, these are really nice for storage and organization purposes. The ASA profile is interesting. Another review mentioned that they're sculpted similarly to SA, but at OEM height. I'd say this is an accurate description - aesthetically they look great too. Printing/lettering is consistent, and I've had no issues with the molding either. Akko has been coming out as a great name brand, from their prebuilt keyboards, to these nice keycap sets, to their value-oriented switches... I'm very pleased with my purchases so far. ... show more

i've had a lot of keycaps on a lot of keyboards throughout my time in this hobby. i started with cheap stuff from tai-hao to replace the no-name OEM keycaps that came on my first couple of keyboards. they were pretty nice, definitely a step up in quality. eventually i bought myself a set of DSA caps off amazon from NPKC and fell in love with the spherical shape of the keys; pretty soon i was in deep, having shelled out $175 for a set of doubleshot ABS (black on white if you must know) DSA caps from signature plastics. i thought i'd reached the pinnacle of keycap design... until i tried SA. SA had a far more satisfying sound with my preferred switches (box blacks at the time), and my set of maxkey leviathan caps which took approximately 6 months to arrive from KBDfans replaced the SP caps as my version of the pinnacle of all keycaps. i love DSA, SA, and cherry profile, though, so after buying a really worn out set of GMK laser caps from a college buddy of mine i came to a conclusion: while the spherical shapes of DSA and SA were more satisfying to my fingertips, they were either far too short or far too tall. i found cherry profile significantly reduced my wrist strain compared to SA, and was roughly on par with DSA, albeit easier to navigate. enter ASA profile keycaps: yes, i know they're slightly higher than cherry profile, but they are far more comfortable than SA profile for my tiny man hands, not to mention they retain the spherical shape. plus these keycaps are double-shot PBT with surprisingly good legends- definitely not as sharp or consistent as SP or GMK caps, but 85% of the way there i'd say. and the colors. oh, the colors! this set is in the 'miami nights' colorway that i've been drooling over since i first stumbled across it years ago, except for half the price i'd pay for enough SA caps in the same colorway to cover my GMMK Pro. i also ordered the rip-off laser ones because i find this profile far more satisfying to type on than cherry... blasphemy, i know. ordering a knockoff of the GMK set of caps you already own? at A THIRD of the price? it's downright sacreligious, borderline psychopathic, and almost definitely a waste of money. but you know what? my fingers are happy. plus these caps sound good as hell with every switch i've tried under them. will update with a sound test when my box pinks show up because i imagine that they will sound delectable with these caps. as much as it pains me to say it i'm a sucker for a good chinese knockoff of an expensive product, and this is the best example i have of exactly that. ... show more

I think this is a nice set for the price and the ASA profile is a good compromise for someone who doesn't want traditional cherry or SA. I took off a star due to two space bars in the kit having QC issues. First the pink space bar has some weird and very noticeable dye markings on it. One of the gray space bars has some warping issues since it rubs against the side of my keyboard and makes a loud scratching sound. I've found that reversing the space bar solves the problem but not everyone may want to do that. ... show more

I have been pleasantly surprised by how great these keycaps are for the price. They look and sound great and the space bar is especially thocky when compared to similar sets I’ve had with SA profile (rather than ASA) - not sure why, but it’s a noticeable difference. The build quality is great for the price which is why it's getting 3 stars. However, I had 2 issues with the ASA keycaps. The blue for the Midnight keycaps are more of a sky/light blue than the neon blue in the photos for those of you who are planning a vaporwave/synthwave theme. If you're coming from a Corsair or Logitech keyboard, the ASA profile was a lot worst to use because of the smaller surface area. I have slim fingers and the keycaps were too small. People complain about Akko for "stealing designs" when it's literally just matching up 2 or 3 colors on the same profile and charging $120+ (around double if you missed the GB). This color scheme might be similar to a popular set but it's a different profile and half the price, and good quality. Oh, and you don't pay now to get it 1.5 years later. ... show more

It’s a nice looking keycap set the quality of the keycap set exceeded my expectation. But the one I received seems to be an returned/used item. Both the packaging cardboard box and the keycap package came as damaged. One of the keycap is also somehow dyed with black color. Not sure if that’s Amazon or Akko shipped this item to me. I used these on my GMMK PRO and man does it sound nice! I love how it feels so smooth yet it's pbt so it's really durable feeling. If you're used to standard style keycaps like OEM or cherry it might take getting used to but it's not as hard to adjust compared to getting regular SA. These ASA styled keycaps have the nice SA feel with a similar height of OEM keycaps, so no wobble. Overall a great buy for anyone who wants some nice looking keycaps. ... show more
