  • COMPONENTAkfix 805 Insulation Spray Foam is a single-component, moisture-curing and self-expanding aerosol polyurethane foam. It is designed for easy dispensing through the straw adapter included with each can. Foam expanding sealant does not contain any propellant gases that are harmful to the ozone layer.
  • COMMON USAGE AREAS Akfix 805 Polyurethane Foam Spray can be used on window and door frames, big gaps, joints, cavities, electrical outlets, water pipes, etc. It is also used for filling of penetrations in walls. After the application, this expanding foam insulation spray is recommended to be used with 800C Spray Foam Cleaner which is sold separately.
  • HOW TO USEAkfix 805 Waterproof Spray Foam Insulation Can should be shaken at least 20 times before use. When applied it should be turned down. Strongly recommended not to press the trigger hard if you use it for the first time. Make sure to wear protective gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing during the process. You can wait 24 hours for a full cure. Cured foam dries rigid and can be trimmed, shaped and sanded.
  • PROPERTIESAkfix 805 PU Foam is a product that water-proof, over paintable. NOTE: This window insulation spray foam adheres to almost all building materials with the exception of surfaces such as polyethylene, teflon, silicone and surfaces contaminated with oils and greases, mold release agents and similar materials.
  • PACKAGE CONTENTS Akfix 805 Big Gap Filler Spray Foam includes 1 qty Expanding Foam Can.
  • SAFETYAkfix 805 Spray Foam Insulation Harmful by inhalation. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Do not breathe spray/vapour. Use only in well-ventilated areas. It is a pressurized container. Keep away from direct sunlight and do not expose temperatures over 50 C. Do not pierce or burn the product, even after use. Keep away from sources of ignition, no smoking.
  • RESTRICTIONSStorage above +25 C and below +5 C shortens shelf life. Akfix 805 Polyurethane Spray Foam should be stored and transported in vertical position. It also should be kept in room temperature for at least 12 hours before the application. Paint or coat the cured foam for best results in outdoor applications. NOTE: Cured foam will discolor if exposed to ultraviolet light.

I started spraying this stuff and came back and when I did it was like an explosion of petroleum-chemicals in my wall. Did the job but not a good idea during food prep.

Any spray foam is going to be messy but this performed as well as any of the spray foam barriers that I have used. It does smell like moth balls, so I would only use it for exterior purposes. One can seems to go a lot further than other well known brands.

I used this to air seal my crawl space. Works very well. I payed $69 for 6 cans, and I just checked and it's almost $100 for 6 cans now. Inconsistent pricing.

4 of the 12 cans sent are defective, and will not release any foam whatsoever. But Amazon would not replace the item due to the order being at the end of august. I was waiting for my new building construction to be completed. So basically there saying. You just use all 12 cans within 30 days to have any type of warranty replacement. In the past 5 years I’ve spent over $25,000 with Amazon. So they are losing a loyal customer over a $40 product warranty ... show more

Let me just say this… if you are used to the old school spray foam from even a decade ago… this stuff is 25x better and a little goes a LONG way. It’s easy to apply, but do not think this stuff doesn’t expand, because 30 minutes later you will see what it can do! I side this to fill various gaps ranging from 2-8 inches and it works fantastic. So yeah it works. It’s just not the best concept for a trigger nozzle. It’s runny enough to plop out/off anything you apply it to, and so sticky you wanna kill yourself after you get it on your hands. It turns a nasty color over time, but once hardened it does keep a barrier for insects.
