My car is a 2010 Lexus RX 350 (most people don't identify the make and model of their cars in these reviews, which makes it 30% less helpful for other shoppers). These front pads fit nicely (so do the rear pads). I bought them in October 2021 and installed them in May 2022. They had been at work for about nine months now and I have put almost 8,000 miles on them. There was no problem so far. They make no noise and do a good job of stopping my car's front wheels. I believe they will last about 40,000 miles. I've provided a photo of a comparison between the Akebono vs. the old pads, they look good and work well. The only complaint I have about them is the clips that come with the package were very difficult to install into the caliper. These clips are supposed to hold the pads in place so they don't slip while braking. However, the clips were a little bit too big and not a perfect fit like the OEM ones. I gave up after a while and just used the old OEM clips from the old brake pads. That worked so I was happy. I would buy their pads again from Akebono. ... show more

    • I've come to use Akebono disc brake pads in all my vehicles , they are a very good safety product
While I used some other Auto Parts Store's branded brake pads in the past, over the last few years I've come to appreciate Akebono's for being a quality safety product that performs very well on all my cars. I installed the product with ease, but these pads are noisy. They started to make noise within two months of installation. The noise only comes from the driver-side brake pad set. My initial reaction, I must have done something wrong. Opened and reinstalled with appropriate grease etc., on the clock within 2/3 months, the noise returned. I re-did the job; however, I consulted with YouTube to ensure I was not doing something wrong. Clockwork noise is back again within 2-3 months. What a waste of time and effort! Not buying again.     • Akebono brake pads are the beast I've ever used
I had these installed today and it went really fast. I would have done it myself, but it's over 100 today and I'm old, so I paid a trusted mechanic to do it. $100 install was a bargain, and only took about 40 minutes. The stock Toyota Highlander brakes always felt under sized and under powered. These feel much more responsive and give better and faster response. Very much a premium brake pad. In my research I found many mechanics recommended Akebono as a great solution for get more stopping power out of under sized brakes without getting larger rotors and calipers.
