The media could not be loaded. Very simple menu using either the body buttons or the touchscreen. I am pleased with the touchscreen quality as I can swap or touch everything on the screen and it works right away. Love to be able to kayak without worrying about getting it wet, LOL since I am not diving in the water I can use the camera and touch screen with fear or water. The accessories provided covers most situations, and I love the suction cup which I use on the deck of my kayak. Just as advertised, the dual camera is great, very convenient paired with the remote, I actually found pretty easy triggering the remote, or for more control through the phone app. Seems pretty sturdy. Good quality reasonably priced, don't think you could find anything superior than this. Touch screen is responsive, Comes with two batteries already to alternate, so no need to make an extra purchase to actually go out and use it. ... show more

    • Pretty good action camera for the price, lots of features to tweak, but still not a gopro
I've been scuba diving for a long time. I had an 8mm camcorder that I built a waterproof housing for. That evolved into digital cameras. When the Hero2 came out, I jumped on it and was very pleased with the results... and smallness of the camera. I have tried to replace the Hero2 with an inexpensive Action Camera that claimed to do 4K video. This camera just might be the replacement I've been looking for. If you have the budget and need a camera as good as a newer GoPro, this is probably not the camera you want to buy. But if you're wanting something a bit cheaper that does fairly well. You should consider this camera. This is just for the "Brave 7 LE". I don't have any experience with other AKASO camera models. At the time of this review, the Brave 7 LE has already been replaced with a Brave 8 For image stabilization... It does fairly well. It certainly does better than my Hero2 (that doesn't have any image stabilization). But I have a cheap 4K drone that has much better image stabilization. With image stabilization on, and attempting to pan in a fairly smooth arch, I still see a bit of jumping and I see some of the "time-warp" artifacts you will sometimes get. The jumping might be caused by the storage not being able to keep up, but I am using a freshly formatted 32G SanDisk Extreme card.. I use the same card in my cheap 4K drone and don't get any jumping. Picture quality... On a sunny day, the image quality is very good... I wouldn't say excellent.... but very good. It appears that the sensor might do 4K natively, but I can't verify that. Many of their cameras specifically call out being "Native 4K30". This camera does not. But at 4K30, I am capturing video that is higher resolution that what I can display all at once (I don't have a 4K monitor or TV). Low light is where this camera has its greatest challenge. I don't have a tool to measure the quantity of light, but the image quality degrades more quickly in lower light than my older android phone. The camera has an "auto low light" mode. When that's turned on, the image quality is actually worse in a low light scenario. "Picture Quality" and "Image Stabilization" are both impacted by some of the other features of this camera. It essentially has a "digital zoom" feature under "view angle". It appears that more of the sensor is used to provide a wider viewing angle. The camera does a nice job of reducing the fish-eye distortion when you're using the wider viewing angle, but that seems to use even more of the sensor as well as the processor. It appears that higher refresh rates at lower resolution have better image quality. If your highest priority is image quality, you might try a lower resolution and a higher refresh (like 1080p60). There are some really nice pictures and videos used in the product description page. If those pictures and videos were taken with this camera, I expect a lot of post-production work was done to make them look as good as they do. First Impression's' Great build, Does Not feel cheap In any way, Heavy for a small Item' That's Good' NO MIC JACK! for me that Is not an Issue. All functions work accordingly; Ill be using this Camera mostly for driving and road biking/biking. So far and first I've tested the Camera In every way I plan to use It for and found No Issues, that's recording In 1080/60 1080/120 time laps @3seconds unlimited, Night driving outside mount and daytime outside mount. I place a piece of acoustic foam over the MIC to buffer the wind sound even with the diving case wind Is an Issue outside mount. The onboard tripod mount Is awesome for me, the menu Is simple and the Manual can be downloaded to PC or Cell. All accessories so for are compatible with my [hero4] accessories so I didn't need to buy more addon's'. The most Important something about this Camera Is the APP Please download this APP ' AKASO GO' It Is awesome! The AKASO BRAVE 7 LE can be used as a baby monitor/security cam as long as the AKASO Is in the dedicated Wi-Fi rang to your cell' This being the NOTE 9 for me. The AKASO will connect to your Cell with Its dedicated Wi-Fi' download files both image and video, create account and upload or use to control the AKASO as a baby monitor or security cam and record as well In my case I can use the NOTE 9 screen record feature and use the AKASO to record as well both In the same time. Do not expect GoPro quality video! I rate the AKASO BRVE 7 LE @ 30% less of a Gopro Hero 4' that Is my Old Hero 4. The AKASO BRAVE 7 LE will NOT and does NOT have AUTO ORIENTATION! If you have to record with The AKASO BRAVE 7 LE upside down ? then switch to upside down mode In the menu' this function Is NOT AUOTOMATIC. I will keep this Camera based an the price and the APP ' AKASO GO and It still a good all around quality Camera for Video. I used the 4K and I found the 1080/120 and 1080/60 looks better But then I am viewing On a PC/Laptop. So far the battery life Is okay for my average riding time between 3 and 4.5 hours, The two Battery's provided so far Is more than enough for my use. I don't have anything NAGATIVE to say about this small Action Camera! For the price Its a Great Buy. ... show more
