  • As advertised!
Just as advertised, the dual camera is great, very convenient paired with the remote, I actually found pretty easy triggering the remote, or for more control through the phone app. Seems pretty sturdy. Good quality reasonably priced, don't think you could find anything superior than this. Touch screen is responsive, Comes with two batteries already to alternate, so no need to make an extra purchase to actually go out and use it. ... show more

  • Great camera, captured my vacation perfectly!
Glad I bought the bundle that came with the accessories. Was able to capture footage from my vacation in the Dominican Republic. Camera easy to set up and use, be sure to read the instructions. I misunderstood what fast motion meant and some of my recordings were sped up. Though it's waterproof, I'm happy I got to waterproof case for the added layer of protection. I was struggling to find the video stabilizing feature but learned that it's not available when the video resolution is at 1080P120fps, only at 1080P60 and 1080P30fps. I also had no issues with the video quality at night. Only downside is the mic quality diminishes once in the waterproof case and also limited access to the full menu. But that's nothing to when compared to the device being fully protected. I'm very happy I purchased the bundle. It came with extra batteries also. My excursion was 8 hours and I used 2.5 batteries in the process with active recording. ... show more

  • It's Hard to get anything better at this pricepoint.
I'm a rock and metal drummer. I purchased the camera to record high fidelity footage of myself, so I can correct my technique / posture/ etc. I play in a really dim garage. To my surprise, low light footage wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be. I sweat A LOT during practice (being in an 80+ degree room doesn't help) so having the extra water resistance has been supremely helpful. This is compounded simply because I am mentally drained after practice. So the camera gets taken down in a pretty mindless, haphazard way most of the time. NOTE: it's water RESISTANT, not waterproof. If you are going to submerge make sure to PUT ON ITS PROTECTIVE CASE. Then dive all you want. Pretty standard video codecs as well. It's a great casual use camera. However, do keep in mind that there are no true manual ISO or shutter speed settings anywhere to speak of. Akaso if you read this, if it's possible I strongly recommend adding those settings in a firmware update (though to Akaso's defense, I'm not sure the onboard image processor could handle that without overheating / sacrificing performance... at these price points, compromises do have to be made somewhere). If not, it would be great to see that in a hardware update on the next model in the line. The image stabilization is not *quite* as good as a GoPro; it's good enough for most users. If you walk-and-vlog, it'll do what it needs to. If you're a cyclist or an extreme sports enthusiast, it may not pan out all that well. However, that's easily remedied either with video editing software or even the cheapest action camera gimbal you can buy. 4k and 2k are solid image quality, however 1080p looks all sorts of artifacty and jagged. Note that using 60fps on any resolution sees a reduction in pixel quality, so keep that in mind. Not the biggest deal, since 2k and 4k are more accessible than ever, but it is something to think about. The audio quality isn't the best, and you should be aware that the only external mic that works with this is the one akaso sells. It works fine if you are talking at the camera (without the case...otherwise it'll get muffly). Just don't expect to be able to record a rock concert with any sort of listenability (and at that point, you should be using a dedicated audio recorder anyway....) Also, you might need to line the inside of your case with a piece of cloth. The camera doesn't sit flush inside the case and can rattle a little bit if you're mounting it to a bike and dealing with vibrations, etc. (Again, if Akaso is reading this, it's a simple fix for the next model: just stick some foam padding on the inside of the protective case. For users, try a bit of thin foam tape) However given the price point, I still think this is a steal of a deal despite some shortcomings. This is an absolute deal for casual users and people wishing to try out their first action camera. ... show more

  • Great Scuba Diving Action Camera!
The AKASO Brave 7 LE is a great (and very reasonably priced) action camera, especially for scuba diving! Waterproof housing even without a waterproof case, easy-open button-activated panels to access the battery and memory card (no fingernail-destroying notches), front and rear screens, lots of accessories and settings to auto-adjust for green water or low-light conditions, good quality recordings, and really great customer support! Camera batteries seem to last about 1.5 hours on 4K video recording when I'm also fiddling with the screen normally, so I usually swap out if I'm doing back-to-back dives. Thankfully, it comes with a charger and spare battery! The housing is different than the GoPro form factor and even AKASO's EK7000 (which I also have and use as a backup camera), so make sure to buy from AKASO directly (maybe a few extras) or double-check compatibility. I combine the Brave 7 LE with dual Sola 2500 dive lights and a Movo GB-U80 underwater rig to hold everything. ... show more

  • Akaso Brave 7LE
For the price point this action camera is hard to beat. Good solid chassis not some cheap plastic thing. Has all the basic must have stuff. Wifi to upload and edit photos/video to a mobile app. Shoots 1080 and 4k vids. Has image stabilizer and has very decent video quality. The external mic was a plus for me as I use a motorcycle helmet chin mount for my rides and I'm able to run the mic inside my helmet and feed audio without the loud wind or engine noise. Used this on my recent trip to Hawaii and recorded my snorkeling without any issues. Is it perfect, no but all in all well worth the money for what you get without the Go Pro price. ... show more

  • Great Economical Action Camera
I purchased this unit because of its price point - I wasn't sure how frequently I would use an action camera and didn't want to invest too much. I may now be "hooked", and this unit seems like it will keep me satisfied for a while. The video is obviously best at 4K, and the Image Stabilization does an amazing job at that resolution: it smoothed out the pedaling motion on my bike rides; I haven't taken it skiing yet, but look forward to that. The still photograph quality is good, but best with closer - not necessarily requiring close-up - subjects. The wristband remote that came with my bundle makes it extremely convenient to start/stop video, and it removes blur from pressing the shutter-release on still shots. ... show more
