I think this camera is the best value for your money. I chose the Brave 7 over the previous versions (Brave 6, 5, 4, etc.) because it is already waterproof with additional case. Very easy to operate and picture quality is as good as the higher priced brand name action cameras.

I purchased 3-AKASO BRAVE 7 and 1-BRAVE 7e for comparison based on online videos. I plan to use them for biking, diving, fishing and other outdoor work. Compared to the GO PRO 10, the 2024 Brave 7 and 7e have great audio, image quality, cost, waterproofing, durability, features, extra battery, charger, remote controls and accessories! My packages included 1/4-20 stud for tripod mount. Audio is great and cost of replacement is tolerable if lost or damaged. The web site, menus and online manuals are great, organized, informative and easy to read. Well done AKASO. I do recommend this product and company and I will purchase the next model! The media could not be loaded. I've only had my Akaso Brave 7 for about a week, but so far, I like it. I'm using it on a gimbal, but I don't walk like a ninja! By itself, the internal stabilization is also good. At 4k, image quality is very good, but highlights do tend to blowout (many action cameras do). The new menus on the "anba" version were a surprise - they are more like a gopro and work well. The internal mic on this version is surprisingly good. You get many useful accessories, including mounts, a charger and 2 batteries. Battery life is quite good, too. My uploaded video was 4k, Amazon lowers resolution drastically, so don't judge IQ by it. ... show more

Purchaed the camera for a trip through multiple natinal parks. The image qulity is pretty good considering the price and it's a fixed focal point camera. I like the abilty to use this as a dash camera as well as an action camera. Overall the camera exceeded my expectations and woould recomend it to anyone who is looking for a cost effective alternative to the name brands. Pros: - Price - Size - 2 Batteries - Accessories Cons: - Mic sound quality - It's hard to get the camera in and out of the case - go pro style mounting, would have liked a magnetic mount like DJI to make swapping mounts easier - hard to remove the sd card unless you have tiny fingers, which I do not. - Low light capability is ok but could be better ... show more

I have been thoroughly enjoying the Brave 7 action camera. Its features make it an excellent choice for a wide range of activities such as hiking, cycling, diving, and video presentations. One of its most compelling aspects is its affordability, especially when compared to its competitors. This makes it a strong option for those seeking value without compromising on features. The overall capture quality and capabilities are great, and the auto-flip feature is incredibly useful when mounting it on my bike upside-down. The OTA updates are also a nice touch. I do wish it had the still photo mode (which takes a photo every 3 seconds/5 seconds/10 seconds/30 seconds while recording video) that my two older V50X cameras had, as well as the tripod mount (instead of the bulkier case it comes with now). A very fun toy to play with, learning the settings and capabilities. The batteries last a long time and the card holds tons of images and videos! For the cost, this camera has an unbelievable range of capabilities. I highly recommend getting the accessories kit as well. That way you can configure just about any setup based on your video needs. I already tested it underwater. The video is unbelievably crisp and clear, and the motion is smooth. I do not have a special cover for underwater videos, as this camera can safely be used in the pool. There is a lot to learn and many options to explore. Let’s review the customer service. I received my new AKASO 7 and immediately dropped it onto some sharp rocks and scratched the UV lens cover. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find an available replacement on Amazon. I contacted AKASO customer support through email, made them aware of the damage and requested to purchase a replacement lens cover. Within 30 minutes I got a response from AKASO asking for a picture of the damage, which I sent. An hour later I got a response from AKASO. AKASO, at no charge to me, offered to ship a replacement even though I damaged the part. I received confirmation of the shipped part. AKASO actually sent two replacement lens covers. AKASO’s customer service was amazing. This experience solidified my decision to buy additional AKASO products in the future. There are a ton of reviews about the image and sound quality of this camera. So, I will keep this part short. Is it a $500 GoPro? No. Is it a great value for the money? Yes! The AKASO 7 isn’t cinematic quality but it is definitely torture your friends and share your vacation on the big screen and YouTube quality. In one of my applications, I needed a camera that can record continuously for multiple days. The camera will operate continuously when plugged into an external power source. My only complaints are: The camera doesn’t have built in mounting like the GoPro. The frame is a bit of a nuisance. The included remote uses a Micro USB port to charge while the camera uses USBC. The camera lacks the ability to use both screens at the same time. I’m sure this could be fixed by AKASO with a software update. ... show more

I’ve used this for filming fishing and hunting trips. It’s easy to use. Battery lasts quite a while. Can be used with GoPro accessories. Quality is very good. Videos are easy to download. Glad for my purchase.
