I bought this AirTag cat collar for a young cat that we wanted to track it's whereabouts. The material and closure were of quality and we liked the options of so many colors. We found out that the breakaway works very well after she got caught up on a fence. The collar does not come with the Apple AirTag and we had purchased it separately. This is nothing to do with the collar but I have to say I was very disappointed in the the AirTag and the ability to track. The AirTag emits a Bluetooth signal that nearby Apple devices can detect, sending the location to iCloud. Apparently the people of our neighborhood only owns Androids as we could only track the location when it was close to our home. ... show more

I like the look of this collar on my cat. She seems comfortable, and the airtag stays in. Breakaway works as intended. Removed one star because the bell is irresponsible to leave on the collar. I removed hers, but it shouldn't be there in the first place.

Don’t know why but both my cats lose these all the time. The breakaway feature is necessary with cats and I swear my cats go out but stay within range of my home. Look I don’t know. Maybe my cats are totally bananas. It is frustrating for them to keep falling off. The AirTag is “sort” of a good idea. I had a lot to learn about AirTags. When you’re close - and I mean CLOSE they work (40 feet). Otherwise you’d need to be FAR where they can jump onto someone else’s iPhone network device technology and report where they are. That’s because close they’re using a blue tooth connection and far they’re using apples iPhone network. AirTags can be VERY valuable devices and having them on my cats is better than not. This is a collar review and not an AirTag review but since it’s an AirTag pet collar seems relevant to throw in some limitations for those of you who aren’t aware how they work. In summary; if they didn’t break away so easily they’d be better. If AirTags has a local connectivity range (not withstanding the Apple network, since my cats really don’t go far enough to take advantage) it would be vastly better. But yes. I think the collar breaks away just too easily. Recently bought a newer brand to try. Depending on your cat and environment it may work fine. ... show more

After the last time my cat went AWOL for a couple days I thought I wish I could attach an air tag to him. Turns out I can! This collar has a bright reflective surface to make him easy to spot at night in headlights or with a flashlight, a bell so I know when he's nearby, and the silicone air tag holder is very snug, as well as a breakaway clasp so he won't injure himself if the collar gets caught on a fence or a branch. All these features have made it easy to keep track of him ever since. My only complaints are that the bell fell off around maybe his 20th excursion, and the fabric of the collar is starting to fray already. ... show more
