    • Seem a bit weak and flimsy for heavy loads
These grab bars are ok if they are only used as an assist rail for balancing, but they are very lightweight, and the metal is extremely thin. Looking at the ends of them, the tack weld points where the wall hardware mounts to them are very tiny, and I would be concerned with them snapping if applying a lot of force or weight to these, such as using them to lift oneself up from a sitting position in a tub or toilet. Another big concern with them is that the bars are completely smooth, with no texturing or knurling engraved into them, and wet hands can get slippery. For use as a handhold for stability or balance on a short bank of steps, or for stepping out of a regular tub for someone without very limited mobility, these would do fine. But if there will be a heavy load put on them then I would get ones more substantial, and with proper texturing midbar. ... show more
