I am self-taught in the DIY nail world and I did not know such amazing tools existed. I used to sit there for an HOUR filing my acrylics manually to get them shaped and to the length I wanted. I'm sure these have been around forever but, self-taught.. Anyways, these work so well. I was a little intimidated using them for the first time in fear that I would cut them wrong and all the time/material used to apply the nails would be wasted. But it was actually very simple and forgiving. These suckers are sharp too, it takes minimal pressure to clip the nail and I am loving how much time it saves me (and nasty nail powder mess from filing). The instructions are surprisingly detailed and helpful (angle changes cut design). If you're looking for a quality tool at a decent price, I recommend this one! ... show more

I love this, however, when in use, sometimes the clear casing to catch the nail clippings comes loose and all the clippings fall out. Very sturdy and can cut thicker nails.

I got this mainly because it said it could cut even round nails. It only does square and you have to file them round. It felt fairly flimsy.

I bought this for clipping my nail extensions because of the dial it came with and the catcher but as I was clipping my third nail, the rivet that holds the handles together broke and since it is plastic and one piece, it could not be fixed. I was very disappointed. It felt like it was made out of cheap materials and was not worth the cost. I would expect a product like this to be from Dollar Tree.
