I love these easy self contained pump up air mattresses. They have come a long way since I was a kid with the hand pump camping air mattresses that were always flat by morning. This air mattress can get VERY firm with the self-contained pump. It does not shut-off automatically or feature the stay firm where you can leave it plugged in and on and it will automatically turn itself on/off if the pressure gets too low. However, NOT a big deal, this thing held air just fine overnight. Good heigh making it not a struggle for older guests to get on and off of. Pair it with a thin mattress pad and it’s great for temporary arrangements for guests. I did really like the deflate setting on the pump so you do not need to struggle to get it flat and packed back up. Just let it suck the air out until it’s nice and flat, then just fold up and toss back in the provided pouch. My son tested this for us and slept on it for the night. The next morning the mattress still felt very firm and inflated, but definitely a little less than it started. Not enough to be concerned about, and if you were staying multiple nights just turn on the air pump for less than a minute and nice and firm again. Definitely did not end up all squishy where your spouse moving makes you feel like you are on a trampoline.     • Fantastic design and incredible weight bearing capacity
First this mattress is a breeze to set up, as long as you are at home and not out camping. To inflate it you require 110 volt power and an outlet. This could be used remotely with a generator or a strong power bank with a home outlet but it is designed as a spare bed for unexpected visitors or other emergencies where a mattress is needed right away. To inflate it you simply lay it out on a clean rock/stick-free surface, open the door on the side, extract the power cord and plug it in. Then you simply turn the dial and wait as it fills. The ad says it takes 3 minutes to fill but it was closer to 45 seconds once laid out. it fills very rapidly, stays filled and it holds 300KG which is over 600 pounds US. 3 kids on it, no problem. 2 full adults, no problem. 1 600lb person, again, no problem. It holds an incredible amount of weight and includes instructions and the kit needed in the event that you get a leak in it, which seems to happen with all inflatables eventually.     • didn't deflat per say but still lost a bit of firmness after a night
the thing is a full size mattress and it indeed is 18", it can become very firm depending on how much you fill it up. there is no auto off or on, so keep your eye on it. i didn't test if it would pop if left on but that certainly wouldn't be good for the mattress nor the pump in any case, so just watch it. it inflates pretty quickly considering just how BIG it is. 3 mins isn't a overstatement in inflation speed. slept on it for 2 days, it was quite alright. was actually nice sleeping on air because i felt cool the 2 days i did sleep on it. it lost some firmness after each night/before going to sleep (takes like 5 seconds for the air pump to bring it back, so it's REALLY not that much lost). it had plenty of air left in it, no way you sink to the floor unless there was an actual leak. they said it would stretch a bit and that's the reason, maybe so but by the second night i have to assume it's a very slow leak and i have to assume it's happening at the input/output value where the pump is. i didn't hear nor feel any leak anywhere in the actual mattress part so i think it's just a leaky seal. it does come with patches, so if you do get one (on the mattress) you can fix it. nothing new here but make certain you open a window and put a fan on because it smells until you vent it. this also goes for the inside as well, inflate and deflate it a few times (keep in mind not to overwork/heat the pump) to get the inside smell out. it's not pleasant but they do tell you to keep it in a well vented area until that smell goes away (which it does). again nothing new here, just normal setup for these kinds of products. overall impressed with it, air mattresses sure have come a long way. ... show more

    • Perfect for Guests!
I recently had extended family staying with me and this was perfect. I did not have room for an additional roll away bed and this is the perfect solution. Grandfather preferred this over the pillow mattress, said it was more comfortable for his bones! So ended up switching spots with one of the grandkids to have this to himself (haha!). I did not see that coming! It quickly inflates and also has a function to deflate. Guys! This fits back into the box after use! This is a great find! I have had other mattresses from big box stores and they deflate almost immediately along the seems after a few times of use. I have not had that issue! This also sits very, about the height of a sofa, maybe a little taller actually. I would recommend this for use for anyone who has limited space, but also wants to comfortably host guests. ... show more

We had family come in fro out of tow. We have a spare room, but we don't keep a bed in it because we almost never have company. But it finally happened, so we needed something. This worked really well. It was up in less than a minute. It was simple to set up, lay it flat, open the little door to get the plug, plus it into the wall, push the button, test the firmness. Done. We bought a bedding set and we were ready for our company. They said it was very comfortable to sleep on. They were here for 3 nights and they weren't sore or limping around. After they left, we deflated it, rolled it up to look semi nice, put it and the bedding into a clean laundry bag, and tossed it in the closet. Very convenient. ... show more

This air mattress is okay for the value. It's fairly lightweight and has the overly plastic smell to it. I recommend having it out and aired out prior to using it. Once you get it fully inflated and do a firmness check, you'll have to reinflate it as I believe that was posted. Even then, it's not as firm as I would like. If you like more give or softness, then this is a good product. I don't believe this is made for long term use. The sides do not feel reinforced so I worry that it cannot sustain too many bumps or scrapes. For the short term, need it in a pinch use. ... show more
