I got this for a family member who has significant hearing loss. She is somewhat opposed to a traditional hearing aid, but was open to the idea of an amplifier that was less invasive. It only took a few minutes to have this up and running and in her ears! She found it to be plenty loud on the lowest setting. For reference, she just had a traditional hearing test and was reported to have moderate to severe hearing loss. This comes with a charging cable, three sizes of buds, instructions, tools to make adjustments, a brush for cleaning, a lanyard and clips, and the headphones. She actually wore it! She was able to hear us talking to her. We noticed her listening to conversations rather than looking blank. I admit, I didn’t have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. She even texted a few days later saying it’s helping with television, and they are no longer yelling across the house. This device really works! And it’s so small and convenient. I would definitely give it a try if you are on the fence. I may purchase another one for my father, who has less severe hearing loss. He showed an interest in it as well. I think it makes a great gift because being able to hear and participate in conversations is a blessing! ... show more

I bought this product as a gift for my grandmother-in-law (81 years old) to replace her old hearing aid that uses batteries. He was used to using hearing aids so the adjustment period was very short. Now he is amazed at the clarity of sound he gets compared to his old hearing aids. There is no background noise and he can enjoy family conversations to the fullest. It comes with a very practical case to store it and the charge lasts for 3 days. I don't need to spend any more money on useless batteries. I love that I can hear but the earphones are much too big. They keep falling out of my ears. I don’t want to send them back. Do you have any smaller earphones? Please try to come up with a solution.

Tears...of pure joy. I can hear again! I have had dozens of hearing aids over the years (I'm 78). I gave up on hearing aids some time ago due to awful feedback, expensive, having to make appointments to reajust settings, not to mention...losing the last couple pairs due to falling out of my ears because they were so teeny tiny. The quick start leaflet easy to understand...and I was able to read it without a magnify glass. While I admit, the ear buds being attached to long cable/cord that plugs into the receiver is annoying...but at least i won't be losing the ear buds. No feedback issue, light weight and oh my...no more running out of AAA batteries. My grandchildren are thrilled they don't have to repeat over and over when having a conversation with me, or having to finally cave and write it all down on whiteboard anymore.
