  • Works exactly as described
Size: 4000W
Overall I'm very hapoy with it. Installed under the bed (well ventilated) in our class C motorhome. Connected to a 9.6kwh Lifepo4 battery bank, with ~1400W of solar input. 1/O gauge wire run of avout 4 feet total. Pros: - More output than my generator - Quieter than the generator, even installed inside. - Automatic transfer and charge, quick enough to be a UPS - Easy to install and choose battery chemistry - Variable charge rate (turn a knob) Cons: - VERY heavy (of course) - Can't be inverter and charger at the same time - Beep when transferring and occasionally when A/C compressor kicks on. Due to its surge capability, I would love the option to use it as a charger for the battery bank while still providing power AC power via the inverter. I'm sure there are good reasons it can't do this, but it would be nice as the generator has a hard time keeping up with charging and running the A/C. To be fair, the manual does recommend using an oversized generator for this reason. There is also a beep when transferring power, and when my A/C compressor starts. I would prefer the option to turn it off, which I haven't been able to find. Not a big deal, but worth noting. ... show more

  • Nice inverter
Size: 4000W
Working good. Very quiet. Wish it had a few more features but aside from that highly recommend. Update Feb 2017. Still working very well. Unit is in the basement and you'd never know it was running up in the house when power goes out. Running off 8 golf cart batteries. I do wish it was programmable for the charge settings on the battery. The voltage seems a little lower than what it's actually supposed to float charge at 13.2 vs 13.8 for lead batteries. There is a dip switch for setting the voltage that it calls for generator. Using this to keep two fridges a freezer, microwave and a coffee maker running.... oh and some lights too. I'd love to run it in power save mode all the time, but it requires something around 50watts to stay on - and the load must be RESISTIVE. A motor such as a frige compressor or vacuum cleaner will NOT wake this inverter from power saver mode. Other much more expensive brands such as magnasine allow you to program the power needed to wake them. This one is a very good value for the money though. Oh and one more thing.... this joker is heavy. Solid as a rock. See my review on the remote that goes with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R3NRV8I02J878N/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00W2QUYGK ... show more

  • This inverter is junk
Size: 4000W
This inverter sucks ! Standby won't activate unless you run a table saw or something real large. The controls are delicate and small like a wrist watch and way to easy to break and can't be seen without a magnifying glass. the manual has printed errors and the seller "inverter store" won't help. The little black square with white circle is too select battery type can you tell which ebbs is the selector end i can't. And it's wicked tiny. The black knob next to it to adjust charging amount is so delicate people say they break it off with their fingers. And the lifepo4 battery type setting has a float charge to it. Lithium ain't supposed to float charge !!! This inverter doesn't pass through to use shore power on your rv unless the inverter is turned on and it drains power from your batteries just sitting waiting to be used. It keeps turning off losing all lights in rv and everything. I have 6 battleborn lithium batteries but you'd never know using this piece of junk. It's not right its junk buy something else. Magnum is good but buy it from dragonfly/ battleborn energy instead their tech support is awesome they even helped me with this piece of junk ... show more

  • Aims 2000, 2500 and 3000
Size: 3000W
I really like these inverters, they are solidly built and a great value for the money with the added charger feature. I have a 2000 w 24 volt and have installed the 2500 12 volt and 3000 24 volt for friends. Highly recommended

  • So Far so good - will update after further use - update 2022
Size: 4000W
Purchased / installed in 2018 - Update July 2023. So far so good. The unit has been in place since my 2018 purchase. I've since added washer and dryer (gas), and occasionally run a dehumidifier (which is like a small airconditioner) in the basement. I have now a 4kw PV array, and got to thinking - one thing i like about the AIMS 4kw inverter vs the Multiplus II which i'm sure is good, is the multiplus II is only 3kw. Yes you can parallel inverters, but you double the price. The AIMS is 4000kw which isn't hard to reach with washer and dryer and then gas oven igniter, and lights, dehumidifer and perhaps microwave oven and/or other electric cooking device like crock pot. To me its still a solid value. Good luck out there everybody with your projects! == older reviews / updates This inverter embodies a number of useful features for my small solar power endeavor. I have a 2kw PV array. By going from 12Vdc to 24Vdc i was able to double the capacity of my charge controllers, and halve the amount of current from batteries. The built in transfer switch does work, unit is very quiet. i won't use any of the power saving features in my setup. ie: goal is to run the fridge at night. The pure sine wave output helps me feel better about plugging in expensive appliances. Unit shipped double boxed. Using #6 wire for the 120vac stuff, i think 1/0 gauge for battery to inverter. No issues. Update: connected microwave, oven and occasionally 2hp air compressor. I have observed transfer switch a number of times, and seeming no loss ie: the microwave clock and oven clock stay on and on time. Update July 2022. I expanded my batteries to LifePo4 and my PV array is 3.2kw I can't believe its been 4 years since i've had this. i only shut it off to add circuits. running my router, added an upright freezer, drip coffee maker, sump pump, and bathroom. I have run sawzall and hope to add more panels and more loads (garage door) ... show more
