  • Seems to be a good value or the money
Color: M1 - White Size: Medium
Despite some reviews i took a chance for the price. Fit and finish was very good. Nothing was broken, nothing fell off, nothing is loose or rattles. Helmet is much quieter closed than my $400 helmet. Impact liner seems to be of good dense quality. Sun Visor is nice, works perfectly, i can just wear normal glasses. And it stays up when not in use, as it is supposed to. Riding with the chin bar up is no problem, wind does not tug at your head. Do not ride with face shield up, it is not designed for that, raise the chin bar Airflow in helmet is good, even fully closed. It is a light helmet, so it may not be for those who routinely feel the need to ride 100+ mph, for that nonsense i suggest sticking with $700 race helmets, or learn to walk. Helmet arrived triple boxed and the helmet itself was in a protective bag. I suggest keeping the bag to store the helmet in. Face shield and visor will seem to smudge easy at 1st from the protective film. just use a soft cloth and a little clean water with like a drop or 2 of dish soap, it takes the residue off but doesn't etch the plastic. ... show more

  • good helmet had a bad start but a good ending
Color: M1 - Red Size: X-Large
It is a beautiful helmet, very comfortable and the fit is less tight than most. I have had neck issues and putting on helmets aggrivate it, this one slips on easily and is much appreciated. The sound is not as loud as I'd like but for those who haven't worked for years in machine shops it may be enough. I did have a problem with reverses sound, left speaker was the right speaker and visa/versa and the pad and left speaker were flopping around and not in place. The seller was happy to work with me and was up to helping mefix it as I requested, as I liked what was there just not how it arrived. They asked for pictures and said they'd offer instructions from there. Once I got a strong light inside the helmet it was easy to see what needed done, about 10 minutes later it was all better! The vents are pretty large the dual visors are great, with a flip of the switch the tinted sun screen pops up or down. The clear is nearly invisible. The controls on the Bluetooth allow volume up/down, control to change songs on my phone, answer the phone, hang-up or to ignore incoming calls. ... show more

  • Great value in a completely outfitted modular helmet
Color: M3 - Dark Grey Size: X-Large
Fits my normally XL head perfectly and goes on easily. Good space for my eyeglasses after it's on. Has "pockets" for earpieces (just an absence of padding right there). Definitely lighter than most helmets. Other reviewers who have unfortunately had accidents wearing this report no noggin damage so light weight is all good. Both clear & tinted visors work easily & click in and out confidently. The quick release strap adjusts to fit and is so convenient - never had that before. The strap pads are a not fully attached to the straps, but fall right into place if you grab them as you don the helmet. Chin piece easily flips up & down with authority. Stays up when up and very solid down. When down, padding tucks nicely under the chin. Nose shield is soft plastic, pleasant & covers well. Good cushioning by my standards, comfortable all around. Oh--the "dark gray" color is actually a nice medium tone, not dark at all. I see nothing wrong and a great deal right, including the value. There's no reason it won't hold up riding, if not mistreated. I'm happy! ... show more

  • Great value, fantastic features
I've recently gotten back into motorcycle riding. Previously I'd pay top dollar for Arai and Shoei helmets, those helmets are $1000 now. I was looking for value this time around, let's face it, what saves your head is the foam lining in the helmet. Any helmet is finished after 1 crash. Rule of thumb is to replace the helmet every 5 years, are you gonna do that with a $1000 helmet? Anyway, about this helmet: it's light but sturdy, it fits well - a little hard around the edges at first for me around the forehead but it's broken in and comfortable now after a few days; I love the integrated sun visor; I like the easy release chin strap. Negatives: the rubber breath shield kept falling out and I've lost it - I've contacted AHR and asked for a replacement; because of the nice quick release chin strap, there's no D-ring to lock into the bikes helmet lock (but I prefer the quick release). Overall - I like it so much I ordered 1 for my wife. ... show more

  • For the price, the helmet is okay.
If you're expecting high fit and finish in a $65 helmet, you're not going to find it in any helmet in this price point. The helmet shell is of decent quality, the liner is okay, the clarity of both shields is good. There is more wind noise with the outer shield down than with it up. This is due to the sloppy way the gasket was installed. It is not glued in straight or evenly and there-for there are gaps at the top when the outer shield is closed. This allows the wind to blow through creating extra wind noise. The teeth that should hold the outer visor open are not big enough so the outer visor will close on you while riding, especially if you're in freeway traffic passing tractor trailers. I ride a sport tourer, so the bikes wind screen does a good job of directing the air over the rider. As such, during the day, I like to ride with the outer shield up. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to adjust the tension for the visor like there is on more expensive helmets. Again, this is a $65 helmet so you can't expect it to be perfect. This works well as a good, cheap backup helmet. ... show more
