This might not have been the intended use but it's just what I needed. I've used a Yakima Skybox rooftop cargo carrier for years on previous vehicles with Yakima round crossbars. Now I have a 2020 Toyota RAV4 with OEM crossbars which are flat with a low profile. The clamps for the Skybox lock solidly onto the RAV4 crossbars but the vertical opening in the clamps is larger than the vertical size of my crossbars. The upshot of this is that the cargo box can slide from side to side on the car. The Cor Surf pads make the vertical size of the crossbars larger so the SkyBox clamps will not slide from side to side anymore. Thanks. ... show more
