It couldn't have been easier to set up this sensor. It seems quite sensitive and does the job very well. The only thing one could ask for is a cheaper price, but I don't mind paying a little more for a quality product!

Aeotec is becoming my go-to for Smartthings integrations. You can do much more when a product is Smartthings capable than just Google and Alexa. So many ways to automate the motion to a light switch. I have them connected to multiple lights like the bathroom so during the day when you walk in it cuts on, at 12 am or 2 am when you walk in it cuts the bathroom lights on to 15% so you're not blinded by the lights going to 100% To solve the problem when your in the shower and it cuts off when it doesn't see motion before you set this routine up, see what the temp is before the shower is on and when the shower is running check the temp then create a routine in smartthings that when the light is on AND the temperature is above a certain temp, make the light stay on =) If the battery is at 5% or lower it will also send a notification to everyone's connected phone. If they could come up with a better price, they could be the go-to for home automation. ... show more

These have been a staple in my environment since SmartThings used to sell them. then they became impossible to find, but now Aeotec has brought them back. I'm glad! the magnetic mount is the key. Easy location. The glue on the unit is a problem, I recommend using hand made velcro or the new non-tearing rubber mount stuff but that isn't really strong enough. I use velcro strips that I cut to size. I love these units for their speed and ease of use. ... show more

Bought this as a replacement for a very old motion sensor that drained the battery every couple days. This paired with my SmartThings hub easily without jumping through hoops, set up my routine to turn lights on with motion again, boom, done. Working perfectly.
