  • Amazing purchase
I loved that it took less than an hour to set up. I bought this for a gaming set up and let me tell you it looks amazing if you have some white palette In where ever you’re. Bringing this. Many said they have Chinese language in their set up but mines was English and there’s instructions in the box than just to mess around with it. For its small thing the volume is amazing! The battery life is practically untalked about because it’s a plug in. I got mines used and it looks good as new. So it’s worth it. I haven’t experienced lag or any odd features ... show more

  • Yes, this will work in English just fine...
For anyone complaining that it starts in Chinese (which it does) you need to update your reviews because these are just fine, work in English, and are the same as the English models. They do start in Chinese but that literally makes no difference as you use your Google Home app to set it up which will automatically change it to English for you in one of the first steps. ... show more

  • Google clearly doesn't want customers
Plugged it in: took over half an hour to update; tried to connect it to the Google app on my phone: it wouldn't; went through all kind of troubleshooting, uninstall, clear cache, clear storage, and so on and so forth. Re-installed the app, tried to sign in to Home, and Google verification doesn't work. why? error message: 'this phone has been used for verification too many times, enter a different phone # where to send the verification code'. Are you kidding me? I did only ONE verification, one time, when I first signed in, over 3 hours ago. The hub did not connect, I'm trying again according to your 'help' DB, and I can't be signed back on? Why would I have another mobile number at my disposal, at any time? Why would it be secure to enter a random phone number for verification, that could then be used however? What are these software developers thinking? certainly not of any smart security practices. I looked online and found several others complaining of the same problem and - most of all - receiving no help at all from Google tech support. Short of having another phone number to feed this voracious security freak, you are out for good. Did I want to get stuck this time and however many other times in the future this might happen, with calling a friend and asking for the favor? Certainly NOT! This not-ready-for-primetime, utterly stupid piece of wanna-be AI is going right back. Google, get your act together and hire better trained programmers and software system engineers. ... show more

  • Beware its a Chinese version!
I was shocked that it was a Chinese version of the Google Nest Home. Not like it's any different as they are made in China I'm sure. Just plug it in and let it boot up. It speaks Chinese to you, but simply go into your Google Home app on your phone and add it there. It'll automatically switch to English during the setup process. It's 100% the same though. I had 3 of these already in my home and setup is simple and easy to use. I just found out was strange that it's a Chinese one and not an English version. But like I said, it's still a Google Nest Home and works perfectly fine and automatically switches to English once you set it up on the Google Home app on your phone. That's the only reason why it gets a 4 star rating. ... show more

  • 100 Times Better than Echo Show
I wanted a Smart device to control things like my Hue lights and other IoT devices as well as something that could display digital photos so I initially purchased an Amazon Echo Show. The Show ended up being little more than an ad delivery device. Despite all efforts to disable ads on the thing, it would show ads non-stop. Maybe once in a while it would show a photo. Why would you pay money for such a thing? I instantly returned it and got a Google Nest. You know what? ZERO ads. Perfect sync with Google Photo. And it's Smart. Really Smart. If you're debating between this and an Echo Show, it's a no brainer. Google Nest 100%. ... show more

  • Alexa who?
I bought this for multiple reasons but the main one was to get the verbal notifications that someone is at my Google nest doorbell since I don’t always have my phone on me when I’m at home. Love that I can also check in on my other Google nest cameras through the display. It does everything an Alexa can do like play music, set reminders, set timers, tell the weather, and more! Got this for a better deal through Amazon than I would’ve purchasing through Best Buy. Super easy to set up! ... show more

  • IT’S CHINESE. FALSE ADVERTISING!!
Heads up, the whole thing is Korean/Chinese language display. Knew it immediately when I got the box. I didn’t even bother taking it out of the package. Immediately returning. The false advertising is incredibly frustrating. This should clarify the language difference. Not even sure if it’s the real deal. ... show more
