  • Great buy so far
Color: Dark Size: 14' x 10'
We bought this awhile back and finally my son and wife came to visit and helped put it up. Face it they did most of the work! It turned out beautiful, and very sturdy after it was attached to the eaves of our existing structure and bolted to the ground. We had super high winds the next day and not a bit of rumble from the new Pergola. Then it rained and the only leak we had was along the house where it is attached and the caulking my son put between the awning and the wall. That's on us and will be refilled before the next rain. (We're on the coast of Oregon in a temperate rain forest, so it rains all of the time!) Only took them about 5 hours after prepping the area where it was going. My daughter in-law is great at reading picture instructions. Only problem is we are using it as a carport for my new car, and darn if my car is about 3 feet longer than the 14-foot pergola. So, now we need to add to it, and I can't find the expansion kit on Amazon or at the AceJoy site. It shows up on the pictures for the pergola, but I can't find it anywhere. We are going to lengthen it 8 more feet on one end and 4 feet on the other end. Could use some help from Seller to locate the expansion kit. So far so good and we will add to this after a nice wet windy winter to let everyone know how it holds up! :) ... show more

  • Surprised at how much I like it, though I needed to modify it
Color: Dark Size: 14' x 12'
So I purchased this with a healthy bit of skepticism. While I liked the idea of what it could look like once it was installed, it’s kind of hit or miss with these mail based assembly systems. I also knew right out of the gate that I was going to be using a modified install: the back portion of the pergola was going to be mounted to mounting blocks on the wall of my house with 6” lag screws which then go into a 2x10 beam in the structure behind the siding as opposed to using the included rear posts. Not accounting for my modifications, the installation instructions were easy to understand and follow for someone that is fairly handy. The finished product is even more pleasantly surprising as it looks great and does the job I wanted it to do. Even better, my wife and daughter both love it as well. My chief area of concern is with the length of the span between the back and front posts. There is a fair amount of flex in that area when you push up and down on the center horizontal shaft. Since I was not using the back posts, I decided to do another modification where I ended up cutting the back posts to fit under the middle shaft and fabricating a connection point to mount them under that center beam. I believe this now has significantly better rigidity and support for wind and any ice weight that may build up. Overall I giving 4 stars mostly because I don’t believe in the default state, the thing will hold up and really needs middle posts to add proper support. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Color: Dark Size: 12' x 10'
Our back deck gets full sun all day long and during the summer months, it is not even usable. This year, We decided to purchase this Pergola and it was by far the best money ever spent. It took about six hours for my Husband and I to build it and everything went very smoothly. The most challenging part is lining up the fiberglass tiles to fit snuggly so that it doesn’t leak and while yes this can be frustrating and a bit time-consuming, It’s very important if you don’t want a leaky roof. We opted not to attach it to our home, but instead we attached it to our deck and it is very stable once it is attached. We also opted to turn it sideways with the lower sloping in running off the side of the deck. We did this because My Husband is 6 ‘3” and would smack his head otherwise also when it rains or snows, the water can slide right off of the deck and not over top of our staircase, and from the angle that we get the sun, the slope actually works better for us . We absolutely love love love our new space and have spent all weekend outside, enjoying it. My advice would be prepared to spend most of the day doing this and Follow each step one at a time and be precise. Take your time and you’ll end up with less issues. It’s worth it. (Oh, and it arrives in two separate boxes on two separate days so don’t panic like I did when only the first box arrived) ... show more

  • Spend more and get something of better quality.
Color: Dark Size: 8' x 8'
Where do I start? Scuffed/scratched pieces (could have been from shipping), pieces not labeled, crappy materials and poor instructions! I've included pictures showing what the panels look like with the protective sealing still on. One of the seals on one side is white and quite frankly that's the only reason you can't see through this thing at the moment. It will provide no shade whatsoever; which is kind of the point of this product! Also the panels are cheap plastic and flimsy! In the first picture I put it next to a cardboard box that came from Amazon. You can clearly see how crappy it is! The cardboard is thicker! The gazebo itself is just a bunch of smaller pieces that you have to combine together to make larger pieces. What I mean is that normally a gazebo will have four posts and those posts are all single pieces. Instead you will have to put together five pieces to make one post! Two of those pieces are flimsy feet pieces that can't really hold anything in a balanced position unless you anchor them into concrete. I suppose the company did this purposefully so they could easily ship this in comparison to a much more quality gazebo. This is also the same for all the roof support pieces as well. Each roof support is four pieces instead of one! They say that this thing will not leak, but there are so many little areas for openings it's ridiculous. Water can squeeze through the tiniest of cracks, so it's definitely going to leak through this gazebo. After seeing reviews from JMore332 and GBee where it's completely collapsed, I've decided to return this rather than opt to put it together and be even more disgusted with this purchase. For a gazebo to collapse like this with the possibility of people underneath it is an extreme safety concern! ... show more

  • Beautiful and holds up great
Color: Dark Size: 8' x 8'
This was a great addition to our home. It’s sturdy and when anchored, it holds up great in high winds. Just had TS Helene come through with 40-50 mph gust and it didn’t even move! It takes time to put together but worth it!
