  • Best money I ever spent!
Highly recommend ABS! The system came VERY well packaged and everything works as its supposed to. The 4070ti GPU works very well and was not DOA. (Other customers probably had issues due to rough shipping/handling) They were very quick to respond to my messages and handled everything professionally. I would 110% buy from ABS in the future! ... show more

  • Well Built Workstation; Quiet; Needed More RAM
Style: CPU : i7 13700KF | GPU: RTX 4070 Ti 12 G...
I got this to replace my older workstation about a month ago (mid July 2023). I mention that first for this review, because this product listing has changed fairly significantly a few times since I got it. I think this is important to note for anyone reading this review. This review is for this version of the ABS PC: * SA13700KF4070TI-2 * ABS Stratos Aqua High Performance Gaming PC * ABS Stratos S200 Obsidian Black * MSI PRO B760-P DDR5 Wifi * Intel i7 13700KF 3.4GHz * CPU Cooler: Thermaltake RGB AIO 240MM * MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB GDDR6X * Kingston Fury RGB 16GB DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 8GB) * KINGSTON 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (SNV2S1000G) * Thermaltake 750W Gold I have been building (and fixing) computers for myself, family/friends, and professionally since I was in high school in the late 1990s (I don't feel that old!). This was literally my first time getting a pre-built workstation for myself. I have always built from scratch. Now that I have been using this for a little while with Arch Linux (I don't use Windows) installed and an additional 64GB of RAM (total of 80GB) and an additional HDD I am ready to review it. I use this daily as my primary workstation for my business. I use it to run virtual machines and Docker containers along with programming and development and some video editing. 16 GB of RAM was not even close to enough! I also deal with videos, disk images, backups, and other large files which is why I added a HDD (2 TB spinning disk). My old workstation was nice 5 years ago when I built it, but I needed a faster processor with more memory and storage space. I have not yet pushed the video card even close to its limits... I wish I had time to play more games or mess with LLM AIs to stress it. It can easily handle playing two 4k videos at once though. I have also not really tested the WiFi 6E capability. I use the 2.5Gbps Ethernet port. Likes: * Runs Arch Linux perfectly * Lots of ventilation with dust prevention screens (we have dogs... lots of fur floating around) * It is very quiet unless the CPU or GPU is under load * Liquid cooled CPU * Supports up to 192GB of RAM * 2.5Gbps Ethernet port * Lots of USB 3.2 Gen 2 and other USB ports * Pretty fast 1TB SSD * Awesome video card!!! Way beyond what I would have selected on my own. * Good build quality and clean cable management. Notable: * I know this is advertised as a gaming PC so it has lots of RGB accessories. Personally I don't really care either way, but I do have them turned on. All of the case fans have RGB LED lighting. The original 16GB of RAM and CPU cooler also have RGB lighting. I am not *yet* able to control these directly through the Linux OS. I have to reboot and turn them off or on in the BIOS. I think this will be available in the near future. * It originally had Windows 11 ready to be set up. I just don't need or use Windows so I installed Arch Linux after I confirmed everything at least booted up correctly with Windows 11. It did so I formatted the SSD and installed Arch. * Even though I only booted into Windows 11 one time, I did notice it was a fairly clean install. Very little "crapware". * It is not easy to install a second HDD in the case because of how the cables are run. It is doable, but not what I am used to. Dislikes: * It only came with 16 GB of RAM for a "gaming PC"! Really? * The only other slight dislike and concern so far are the ports that are on the *top* of the case. I have never had that before and it seems odd to me. I am worried something will fall into a USB and or they will just collect dust. Overall I am happy with this computer even though it was not exactly what I was looking for at the time. Personally I prefer AMD systems, but I could not pass up a good deal that I knew I could make work. With all that said, I am giving this 4 stars because it met my expectations based on the description/model listed at the time I ordered it. I am not sure I can actually recommend the specific model I received to others, because it does not seem to exist anymore as an option? Advanced Battlestations Inc (ABS) did a good job putting this together though. ... show more

  • Great PC, but a little pricey for what you get.
Style: CPU : i7 13700KF | GPU: RTX 4070 Ti 12 G...
This is a really awesome gaming PC. It runs really well and can handle most AAA games right out of the box. My biggest complaint is that you have to know what you're doing when you get a PC like this because there was little to no software pre-installed. I appreciate the lack of bloatware, but it would be nice if the MSI software was at least installed so you can control fans and lighting without having to go search for it. For the price, you could build a little higher grade gaming PC, so in my opinion you are paying extra for it to be all set up and ready to go. This wasn't the case in terms of software. Also, keep in mind that it doesn't come with any peripherals- keyboard, mouse, etc. Again, for the price they could have thrown in a cheap bluetooth keyboard and mouse set. One ram stick has a problem with the RGB. It does whatever it wants. I updated all of the drivers and tried various lighting profiles and it still acts up. Not a huge deal for me, but fans of RGB lighting might see that as a bothersome bug. It just glows red on one side of the stick and nothing else while the other one works perfectly. The video card on this thing is top notch. There is very little that I won't be able to run with it. It also has a very nice cooling system. At first I was worried that there was a problem with the video card fans since they weren't coming on at all. It turns out, after finding the correct MSI software to install to be able to monitor it, the card just runs cool and doesn't turn the fans on until it gets up to higher temps than I was running. I will probably toss in another 16gb of ram to get it closer to the same specs as the rest of the machine. Packaging was very well done and everything was safe and secure. Would highly recommend as a pre-built, but only if you have a good sense of how to find and install software. ... show more
