Recently I bought a portable (tent-like) greenhouse from another company. It cost much more than this carport and it was a nightmare. The connectors were cheap plastic and broke. The poles were of cheap material, instructions confusing, poles unmarked, etc. So my hopes for this carport were guarded. However, I was pleasently surprised with this carport. The guage of steel was better than I expected, the poles clearly marked and snapped together easily. I gave myself 2 hours to put this together, but finished it in about 45 minutes. I just assembled this product this morning alone. It took me a few hours but it’s pretty straightforward. Just wanted something to keep my vehicle out of the sun and elements. It seems pretty well made. Hasn’t faced the weather yet. It’s the only canopy I could find with adjustable heights which I needed for a lifted truck. Just fits lengthwise. I have it at the 7’5” adjustment and it fits. A little narrow opening the doors but it’s fine. 4 stars for now, will give it more or less depending how it stands up to the elements. ... show more

It's pretty great. The worst thing I could say about it is that there's metal flakes on the metal tubes, so you have to use gloves or get metal on your hands which I think could be pretty toxic, not sure. Then I could tell that it was spray painted silver in places to keep it not looking rusty here and there (metal stuff like this is bound to rust, and I expected to find that, and I did) but overall I think it definitely panned out to what it was supposed to be. I do really like it a lot. I set it up and broke it down by myself, and I'm an average sized guy. It took a little longer than I was hoping, but I was moving pretty slow. The instructions say not to set it up by yourself, to use two people, and that would have been smarter, but I didn't have someone else to help with it, so I just did it. One tiny negative was the little bungees are a little tough to get on, like they require a little hand strength I could have done without, but you just pull harder, and snap 'em in, they were fine overall. If you like what you read, everything good about it I read seemed to be true. No missing parts, no defects, it's definitely good. Wait, there was one tiny, tiny defect: two out of 12 of the velcro loops were sewn in the wrong place, off by about six inches, so they didn't connect. It didn't matter though, I just used one of the bungees they give you to stretch the loop farther, it was totally fine. There's even some neat things about it that aren't documented, like, there were little ties you could use to roll up the bottom if you use the short-height. Even folding it back up I found do-able, which I expected to be impossible. I used a ladder to help me fold it back up, to keep it nice and put it away for when I need it again. I didn't leave it set up, but it looks like it could take a storm, just fine. I didn't even tie it down when it was set up, and there was sort of a gusty wind that day, it didn't go anywhere. I'd bolt it down if I were to use it for longer though. There's little holes in the feet, so you could screw it onto some wood and weigh down the wood if you wanted. The directions were a little difficult but once I figured out the one step that I wasn't understanding, everything went great. I was able to get most of it put together myself and took it down myself. I'm a small woman (5'3") I think next time I won't need any help at all. I love that the pieces click together so they won't come apart. Comes with everything you need including gloves if you want them. I definitely recommend this canopy. I had it up for a month in heat, rain, thunder and lightning... literally every weather this summer and no issues. Especially loved the braces, that was the clencher for purchasing this canopy and it didn't let me down. The one thing I did that wasn't in the instructions or box, I used my own heavy duty stakes for securing it. My stakes are 18" long as I don't trust any tiny tent stake. I would urge you not to buy this product. The carport is very poorly made, not engineered correctly, and therefore will not withstand even the most minor winds. I installed as instructed, but I added additional stakes to anchor the walls and I used heavy duty rope to connect the walls to the stakes. Even with the additional anchoring and much heavier ties, the structure collapsed completely in the first rainstorm it was subjected to. The winds never exceeded 25 miles an hour, and it was less than a few hours long. When I called the manufacturer to complain, I was told that they do not warrantee against wind. They never asked how strong the winds were. They just told me that they do not warrantee against wind. The metal supports buckled and the covering tore. Only after I had the problem did I look at the reviews others have posted and saw how many people have experienced the same problems. I live in California, it didn't have to go through a snow storm, tornado. or a hurricane. Merely a very mild rainstorm. It is poorly made and the manufacturer will not stand behind their product. A similar but much less expensive product is sold at Costco. Same size and color, but much more robustly made and with many more features.
