I have lived in my house for a little over a year with the mattress and box springs on the ground. I have been looking at various bed frames with headboards for a while so I could start storing things under the bed and have a headboard to protect my wall and put my phone and remotes on when I sleep. I found this one and liked the design. Here is what I think of the bed: Pros: - Looks: I really like the look of this bed. It looks nice when fully assembled, with the wood look standing out against the grey fabric. - Assembly: For the most part, this was very easy to assemble. The lower frame took around 30 minutes to complete. The headboard comes in assembled. All you have to do is to assemble it to the uprights. It has 2 different installation settings: low and high. The low is made for thinner mattresses without box springs. The higher is made for slightly thicker mattresses without box springs. The low setting was very easy to assemble. I'll talk about the higher setting below. All of the hardware installation points except the lower headboard were very easy to access. Most were open enough to rotate the allen wrench 360 degrees. - Storage spade: I like having the thinner storage space on the headboard. It is wide enough for my phone and remotes, even my XBox controller. You won't be able to put a drink on it, but I use a night stand for this. - Accessories: I like having the plugs and usb ports to charge things. This allows me to plug in my phone and other devices without putting them on my night stand or run an extension cord. The storrage has quite a bit of space as well. I doubt I'll use it much, but it is there if I need it. Cons: - Headboard assembly for the higher setting: This is one of the assembly parts that was very difficult to accomplish. I could not get the lower bolts to start easily at all. I ended up having to remove the spacers that close in the side gaps to get the bolts to start. I fought one side for nearly 15 minutes before I removed the spacer and was able to wiggle it around. The spacer would not allow the headboard to drop low enough to get to the nut. That leads to the second part. The spacers are held in by an angle bracket and 2 screws. I had to hammer in the side pieces on one side and use the bracket to pull it flush. There are no predrilled holes so you have to kind of guess where to install it. - Fabric: I'm not a huge fan of a lot of fabric that you need to use a steam cleaner to clean. I have a feeling this will end up showing dirt or wear pretty quick and easily. It looks great now, but I'm not confident it'll look great a year from now. - Headboard height: You'll really only be able to use a mattress on this bed frame if you plan on using the opening storage. I have a pillowtop mattress and standard box springs, have the headboard as high as it can go, and it covers all but about 3 inches of the headboard, making the use of the opening storage impossible. I'm plannig on removing the box springs and should be able to use the storage at that point. Currenting I can access all of my shelves, so that is a plus. I didn't mention cost above, but I think the cost is neither a pro or a con. I think the price is set on par with the quality. If you pay more, you'll most likely get better quality material. But I am very rarely in bed and do not like to pay a lot of money for something I won't use that often, so paying less was my goal. The material was decent for what I paid. If you are looking for something affordable that looks nice, this might be worth the cost. If you want something a bit higher quality, then you may want to pass on this one. I'm giving a 4 star because it is doing everything I want at the cost I was comfortable with. ... show more

Been using this for three months now. The assembly was easy but the instructions are pretty silly - instead of words, they used cartoon panda-like characters showing the assembly. Its easy to do with just one person and you dont really need help - just lean the heavy part against the wall when attaching it. I was pleasantly surprised how rigid the frame is - I was half-expecting it to be flimsy or wobbly but it is not at all. Super solid. ... show more

Suppose to be an easy install, but the missing screw and loose headboard made it difficult. Only the left side had screw on and the right side was just hanging loose. I took the old screw out and put on 6 new one because the old one was over tighten and has corrosion, which I'm sure will snap in the future. Other then that everything is good. Update 3 broken screw on the right-side of the headboard now I have to put in more work to take it off.... ... show more

Overall, the bed is wonderful. I was able to put it up myself, itโ€™s really sturdy, and it seems to be holding up pretty well (Iโ€™m a larger guy). My only complaint is that it came with a hole in the back of the headboard- looks like something fell on the box, punched a hole through that and the headboard. Other than that itโ€™s grand though. After what happened, you might expect that I'd write a bad review for this product. However, I'm happy to be doing the opposite! The bed arrived and we unpacked it. It seemed that all the pieces were there. But, that's when we noticed that the hardware package was missing! Everything needed to put the bed together did not get included in the box. I was not happy. I contacted the seller but did not expect an immediate reply, so I went to the hardware store and bought everything I needed to put the bed together for my daughter. Great product of by the way. Very sturdy - metal frame and goes together very easy. The instructions have some obvious grammar mistakes, but no big deal. Anyway, back to my problem; the missing hardware. I received a reply from the seller who apologized profusely for the mistake. They offered to send the the missing hardware but I explained that I already bought what I needed. And then, very unexpectedly, they offered to refund me the amount I spent in buying the missing pieces! WHAT? I was shocked! What started as a very upsetting ordeal ended with a happy daughter with a new bed. Excellent customer service! ... show more
