Adobe CC itself is fine, but subscription through Amazon is strange. Normally, any digital subscriptions start on the date of activation or the subscription period is added to existing one. The listing states that it can't be added to an existing one and must wait until the current subscription expires. But it doesn't mention about subscriptions starts on the date of purchase, not the date of activation. I bought it two weeks before my current one expires, because it was on sale. Then only to find out about this strange Amazon calculation. Long story short, I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Amazon to sort it out. Ended up I canceled the order for a full refund and bought it again. They say they are doing me a one time favor because digital subscription can't be cancel for refund, yet the listing states full refund within one month.     • Way too expensive... why does Adobe make us pay extra money and give it to people who earn more?

Why does anybody with an .edu email address automatically get to pay $20 a month instead of $80 a month? That is a pretty outrageous discount for many people who don't need it. Students dependent on financial aid and in fields that require learning this software I can understand. But all students? And all teachers, and all people employed by a university or school or "home school" scammers? Universities are full of ordinary professionals making a LOT more money than individuals who are freelancing, or trying to start companies, or inspired by their own creativity and motivated to actually learn this stuff on their own instead of paying for the privilege (of learning Photoshop? LOL). It's quite unfair to make creative independents subsidize comfortable and/or lazy academic types who receive such a ridiculously huge discount of 75% OFF. The reason individuals using this software is forced to pay such high prices because millions of people pay almost nothing, for just one unjustifiable reason based on group affiliation. And we also need to subsidize the countless extended relatives and friends who cheat the system. The craziness of the discount is a reflection of how desperate Adobe is these days. It shows the extreme costs Adobe must absorb in an attempt to stay relevant with what they probably assume will be their future customer base. I doubt it will work once those future customers no longer get a discount and need to pay four times as much. How much lower would the price be if everyone actually paid the same? A LOT LOWER and A LOT MORE FAIR. This price is unfair for unfair reasons and it stinks. ... show more

BEWARE OF CANCELLATION FEE. My daughter signed up for a monthly access, when I canceled, they charged me a cancellation fee. This was not obviously disclosed fully when we signed up and they would not refund the fee. What a shady business practice!!

When I buy a "12-month subscription for $50" for xbox live, I pay $50 and I am subscribed for - guess what - 12 months. They know they're trying to mislead people, otherwise they wouldn't disguise the real cost so well. This subscription model is already a scam, why do we let people get away with this crap? I use the Creative Cloud every day for work! It is absolutely indispensable. The new options that are available on iPad are also fantastic! (Now to get a newer iPad to utilize it better lol). I also love every time they update something because at the end of the day they give me tools I didn't even know I needed. And don't even get me started on how great the support is! I'm working on learning After Effects and if I get stuck I don't have any trouble finding answers on the Adobe community. Anyway, this is a fantastic product! ... show more
