  • Very Low Quality!
Color: Black-S
I had a hard time getting this hanger to clamp on to my bench, the soft foam that was taped on to the clamp came off immediately and the clamp slipped off the bench and fell. Ok, not a big deal, I eventually got it attached and it seemed to be functioning. I hung my Dremel with the flex shaft attachment from it for a few days and it was ok, didn't feel totally sturdy but didn't fall (again). But then I hung my Foredom jewelers flex shaft from it, it's a bit heavier, and the tall portion snapped off the clamp within moments (almost fell on my sleeping cat!!) and it's completely broken. I had the hanger for less than a week and it's in the dumpster behind my house. Poor quality if you want to use this to hang any serious tools. ... show more

  • Just can't handle the weight
BLUF: Don't bother buying this if using it to hang a commercial tool like a Foredom, it won't handle the weight. If a smaller Dremel hand wand with remote extension, then "maybe." The Good: I liked the quality and thickness of the rods, and they screwed together nicely. I liked the idea of the C-Clamp mount as it is easily installed, removed, or moved to another surface. The price was right-on too. The Bad: The ultimate failure of this is the C-Clamp. It is too thin and weak, and very poor quality. I didn't like the top motor hangar as well. When I mounted my Foredom rotary motor, not only did the hangar bow a lot, the posts did a little as well. But the C-Clamp just did not like to stay put. I couldn't get it truly snug on my workbench. It just won't handle the heavy weight of a quality rotary motor tool. SOLUTION: Just build your own from 1/2" iron pipe from the hardware or plumbing store. If you don't want to permanently mount it to the workbench, you can buy a C-Clamp or two that press the base into your bench. I spent less than $20 building mine and it is VERY sturdy, modifiable, and I used a 3/8" PTO Lock Pin in a 1/2" Tee to mount my motor (you could simply drill the pipe instead of buy a Tee, but they are only $2). Works fantastic. ... show more

  • Quality of production only fair
Color: Black-S
For hanging a Dremel 3000 or similar, it will do the job, but I will probably build another 1/2" pipe setup like I have for my Foredom. The shaft OD and clamp base ID for the shaft are an interference rather than a clearance fit. In other words, the hole isn't big enough to slide the shaft up and down, or the shaft is too big. I got it in there, but it is semi-permanently jammed in one position. Hope I like it... That makes the lock screw pretty much redundant. I will try to drive the shaft out without destroying it and see if I can finish the manufacturing and finishing process to make it adjustable. Also, the clamp part of the base is flimsy. To get it snug to where the whole thing won't shift position, the clamp is at the point of warping the vertical portion of the base. This is worth about half the price and then I'd feel like I spent too much. ... show more

  • Poor Quality control allowed desk brackets with holes TOO Small to accept the tubes to be sent out.
Color: Black-S
Conflicted about the product. Well Made. Sturdy. The adjustable feature of pole sliding up and down is what I wanted... BUT .. POOR Quality Controll. The hole inside the table braked was TOO small for the tube and it had powder coating inside as well. It took me 1/2 hour with heavy grit sandpaper wrapped around a wooden dowel and an electric drill to bore out the hole large enough to let the tube pass through. (Ended up chucking the wood dowel in my wood lathe and let the lathe motor turn it. Other than the require work to be done by me to let the tube fit into the desk clamp holder, it works well for what I want to do with it. The price was cheap enough for me to put in the work. (And I bought two of them) Not return them because they will work fine after I bored out the hole. QUALITY CONTROL NEEDS TO CHECK THEIR INVENTORY AND MAKE SURE EVERY THING IS TO SPECS. ... show more

  • Does the job.
Color: Black-S
Had to do some tweaking since the clamp wasn't wide enough for the side of my bench but it does the job. Nothing fancy but its sturdy, height adjusts. Would recommend it.

  • This Rotary Tool Holder Will Last Awhile
Color: Black-S
This rotary tool holder replaced another I'd had on my workbench for several years. The base of the earlier one was plastic and didn't take long to split in two. I put up with it using an assortment of glues and c-clamps to patch it together until finally saying "uncle." This holder is all metal and is actually infinitely adjustable for height (just keep sliding it down before tightening the bottom knurled knob. A very simple spring prevents the two pole pieces from separating. Seasoned user tip: If you drill a couple of shaft size holes into the clamp legs (don't get carried away) you'll have a place to store an extra cutting wheel, sanding disk or other Dremel accessory. ... show more

  • Very solid, and quite adjustable.
Color: Black-S
I needed something to hold my Dremel tool while using the flexible shaft attachment, and in a form that would be usable on any desk surface, not just on a workbench. (I have the Dremel drill press tool, which would work fine, but it cannot be affixed temporarily to just any desk.) This is a very simple setup, with a solid, non-flexing C-clamp with sufficient surface area to avoid marring a desk's surface. Work great, is very sturdy, and looks like it will easily outlast me ;-) ... show more

  • Serves it's purpose.
Color: Black-S
I really like the product for keeping my dremel in the right position and the swinging arm at the top works well. My issue has been with the clamp, it doesn't support the dremel weight and slowly leans back and the whole thing falls off the table. I've now added a strap to secure it and it hasn't fallen anymore. ... show more
