These give support & are so sturdy. They offer a wide enough toe box & great stability for over-pronation & my flat feet. I love these shoes! They're pricey, but they also endure a lot of wear. I will keep coming back.

I bought these for delivering packages for FedEx. They are very lightweight, which is a huge plus. They still don’t leak, and they’ve been assaulted by mud and a level of fine powdery dirt that most will never see. The only downside has turned out to be the sole, although it’s not the shoe’s fault. The continental rubber is excellent, very grippy. They are made for hiking, not walking on concrete and asphalt all day, so the softer rubber wears down. Mine are smooth now, but still have good grip on hard surfaces. I have always had high expectations from Adidas. The folks at Adidas grasp have always (from the 1950s) grasped and applied bio-mechanical principles to athletic shoes. This why these shoes so well (my feet have a straight last) that the shoes almost do not need a break-in period. Best of all these shoes guide foot movements for a smooth and effective stride. For years I've been battling with a bad foot due to running shoes not being supportive enough. I've had them all too...Saucony, Asics, Brooks, Nike and Adidas. I was told that hiking shoes were the best for my condition...underpronation or supination. After many searches the Adidas Terrex Mid hiking shoes had the best reviews. I've been wearing the terrex line of boot for a while now and in the beginning, I loved them. I'm a Police officer in a decent size city that has a high crime rate so I am constantly on my feet. This new model was a bit of a let down. The things I did love about them are that they are not using a knock off brand of gortex, they have a good lacing pattern and they ride right above the ankle to give you that ankle support. I'm sure there are a few other things that I like but nothing comes to mind. Now for what I don't like. They have gone from vibram rubber soles that they once had to Continental. This has been done in the model before as well and I have to say, the rubber is not the same. Vibram rubber soles would wear slowly but they were lighter and provide better traction. These continental soles are wearing quick and feel heavy and stiff. The toe box in this model is large and I mean large to wear you feel like the end of your foot opens into nothing. They decided to go with flat laces which could be switched out but that's not the point. If it wasn't broke, stop trying to fix it. They also removed the small band of elastic that you could use to tuck your laces behind. The fabric pattern is cut funny leaving the tongue to bunch up at the ankle and rub. After ten hours a day, I'm ready to get these off. I'll be looking for a different brand come my next boot purchase. ... show more
