All parts accounted for, & assembly was easy, about 15 mins. Shelves are partical board with wood like finish. Base is a little thicker so it has some weigh at the bottom, but would not trust in a high traffic area. Mine will be in the corner between the wall & the bed. Lamp shade is a bit iffy. It went together well, but the bottom frame work has a U shaped center that slides between the floor of the top piece of wood and the bottom of the light bulb socket. In theory when the socket tightens down its suppose to sandwich the frame work in between the socket & the wood. I had to beef it up a bit with the rubber foam pieces included. I didn't need the foam pieces because my lamp will be on carpet. They are included as rubber grips for a hard wood floor. I can see if it got knocked hard or fell over the shade may come undone. Will see. The most important feature to me was the remote control & it works great. I especially like the timer button. Once set it will turn itself off after one minute. Also offers several settings from dim to bright! I believe it will be a nice addition to my guest room & a place to plug in a phone charger over night. ... show more

I bought this lamp because the room I am staying in on my college's campus does not have an overhead light. This lamp came quickly, was super easy to assemble, and has many great qualities. The light is bright without being overwhelming, and the dimmer options make it perfect to use in the evening when you want a dimmer light. The shelves are perfect for storing chargers and other small items. I even have a 15" squishmellow shoved on the bottom shelf to make it a little more decorative. I was worried about the quality of the charging ports on the top shelf, but they work like a charm! I've not had a single problem with them. 10/10 recommend to anyone I talk to!! ... show more

Bought this to use in the livingroom. It was easy to put together and looks nice. I love that there are USB charging plugs, it makes it convenient for charging our phones and tables. The shelves are big enough to hold items without taking up too much space. It seems pretty sturdy, we have it in a pretty high traffic area, and we have an 85 lb black lab and he hasn't messed with it or knocked it over. I wouldn't recommend putting heavy items on the shelves, but it's great for decorative items. I like the remote, it works and makes it easy to turn on and off when watching movies. The instructions for assembly were very easy to understand. It only took a few minutes to put it together. The remote requires two AAA batteries which are not included. My only concern is that there is one button on the remote that seems to serve no purpose. The manual gives no explanation as to the existence of the mystery button. One day I hope to discover the secrets that this extraneous button unlocks. Until then, I remain in the dark. (Metaphorically speaking that is) ... show more
