These wooden ones have a great finish, and are perfect for yarns that might be a bit slippery, that are cotton or some of the other possibilities. And also great for wool yarns! Love the convenience of the Addi Clicks. The spring loaded mechanism is secure and easy to attach and detach. I’ve had their bamboo Natura set prior to these but didn’t like them as they were a little too grippy. However, the olive wood is a great middle road between bamboo and the slick laminated wood needles offered by many other brands. Unlike the laminated wood, these needles retain some of the grain of the wood so there’s a small tactile sensation as you rub one needle across the other. The stitches don’t side as easily over the base of the needles as the screw-on interchangeables, but the join itself is smooth. It’s more that the transition between cord and tip is more steep due to the inner workings of the spring that cause the stitches to be a little difficult to push up at times though not all the time. Just depends if your stitches retracted a bit on the cord or not. My only small gripe is that the connector bar that came with the set will not work/click with my cords. Was hoping to try on my garment but had to use waste yarn instead as I couldn’t extend the size past the largest cord I had. Also, I wish the case’s zippered back pocket had a gusset on it to make it easier to remove items. Still my favorite set to use though. Just finished the February Lady Cardigan and despite trying my Hiya Hiya and Knitpicks needles at various times with the project, I kept returning to my Clicks. I think it’s because the blunter tips of the Addi made it easier to work with my somewhat splitty yarn. ... show more

I love my Addi Knitting needles! They stay together when you knit, flexible and I have the ones I need. I have the Turbo's and love them. I wanted the rockets.The only reason they lost a star is I ordered the rockets, the packaging online showed the name rockets on it. The one I received does not have rockets on it. I am not sure what I got, very confusing trying to figure out what I got. I don't see any difference between the rockets and the turbo my cables on turbos are blue the new ones are red. I've been using this product for several months now thanks to a friend's recommendation; the needle tips are lightweight and smooth, not to mention the addiClick system is very convenient. However, there was no manufacturer warranty included in my package. I didn't think that would be a problem, but I recently tried to use one particular needle tip for a new project and found that it doesn't click into the cord. I tried contacting the seller, but because it's been a while since my purchase, I wasn't able to replace the defective needle. Overall this is a good product, but it has quality issues--check your package thoroughly after it arrives in case you run into a similar problem. ... show more

I love this set. The Addi click system is my absolut favourite. I have never had the cord undo itself while I was knitting because of its simple and brilliant design. I will mention that when you first use tour needles the spring in the connector is VERY tight and it might feel almost impossible to connect the cord. If you are going to have your cord come undone it will probably happen here. My kit came with a little rubber grip specifically for this but honestly you can absolutely go without the grip if you didn't get one. Now on to why I rated this perfect set with 4 stars instead of 5. This listing makes absolutely no sense to me and if the other reviews tell me anything, it is that everyone is dealing with the same problem. This listing (as I'm writing this) says its for the gold cords and it comes with a cute little heart pin. I did not get this set. I recived the blue cords. I dont know how much these differ from the gold cords. My blue cords have the wonderful ability to secure my knitting with safety lines (A must have for a novice knitter like myself), and they seem to be the cords several reviews are upset they didnt get. My kit also came with a needle gauge and the cute black case. My kit did not however come with a pin (which as a pin collector is honestly pretty disappointing. All of that being said Addi needles are absolutely wonderful but you may or may not get what this listing is for. Your probably better off buying directly from Addi or another retailer that isnt confusing diffrent sets and changing the item listing with each purchase ... show more

I have several sets of standard length interchangeable needles, so I was going out on a limb with these shorties. The price was irresistible, especially when you consider how expensive a set of cords is. The short needle is *perfect* for making hats, and there was no “learning curve” and all in using them. They are different, but there is no loss of needle control, which I feared might be the case. I have big hands, but found myself getting along with them beautifully.
