We saw these lights on a bicycle in our neighborhood and I knew we had to get some for our kids. For the parents, it is nice because you can see the bicycle from far away and it gives a sense of safety for twilight and nighttime riding. For the kids, it gives them something to enjoy seeing the lights as they ride. The lights are very easy to install and the instructions are easy to understand. The hardest part of installing the lights is installing the rubber "band" around the hub. It is possible with one person but a lot easier with am extra set of hands and the 4 step instructions that come with the lights let you know that. The lights have 2 operating modes. When you hit the button once, the lights flash about once a second. When you hit the button a second time the lighter stay on without flashing. The lights are REALLY BRIGHT and fun to look at. I thought it would be nice for trick or treating during Halloween. There is a positive and a couple negatives, but the POSITIVE FAR EXCEEDS the minor negatives. Negative #1: We ordered 6 sets of lights. (2 Blue, 2 Red, 2 Green) (The 2 blue sets are not here yet so I can only offer feedback on red and green for now) The first green set would not turn on when we hit the button. After a little troubleshooting, I noticed the screw cap that holds the battery pack in was not quite seating the battery pack in place. NOT A BIG DEAL. All I needed to do was put a little ball of paper in the end cap and screw it on. PROBLEM SOLVED. NEGATIVE #2: The second set of red lights we ordered seemed to test fine. We put the batteries in and turned it on. While still wrapped up in the packaging ball, all the lights looked like they were working. When I got about halfway done installing them, I noticed one of the lines was ripped. I hit the power button and noticed only half the lights were working. I decided to try to repair the wire but it was so thin that it was impossible for me with my limited amount of tools so I just cut the line at that point and tied it off on the wheel. I was going to leave it that way but decided to reach out to the company to see if they would swap it out which leads to the POSITIVE. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! In a world of pushing phone buttons to talk to a robot that leads you to someone that many times can't help you with your issue, I can assure you that is not going to happen with these guys. I called the 1-800 number on their website and got an out of office recording. I left a message and we within 5 hours a member of their staff sent me a text message and an email with instructions on how to get a replacement. Keep in mind, I told them that it was working but only half. I offered to send it back for a swap but they told me to hang on to it and they sent me a promotion code for a new one through Amazon. I received the promotion code got the new one on order. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product for adults and kids alike. It adds a big safety factor to night riding and they are fun to watch. ... show more

I love these lights. Great for safety, and they look really cool here on South Beach and Lincoln Mall, where many people stop to admire my two identical Shih-Tzus riding in the large front basket on my bike. These lights will add to the flair and resultant conversations with many people from around the country and world. Assembly was not difficult (speaking as a senior with a bit of visual problem). Take your time and don`t rush it. Invert the bike. Handle the plastic threads with common sense care. The important thing is to come out right, for which you need to interweave the wired lights among the spokes, keeping about 1 and 1/2 inches from the wheel rim so you come out right. Also, I looped my wire around every 4th spoke for added stability. I have used the bike on some bouncy streets with no slippage, and no problems whatsoever. Good product--and great customer service to back you up if needed! The personal touch you seldom find anywhere else these days. Do both wheels; well worth it. Flashers look better and batteries will last longer. Now I am thinking of ordering a third set for my doggy basket, perhaps in a blue color as my wheels are red. Anyone on the streets at dusk or in dark should have this, and it is so easy to install. And, the BEST part of all this is the fantastic customer service which continues long past the point of sale! I have never seen anything like it--this alone is plenty reason to look no further. You will be delighted with this product and the astounding service backing it up! This product is accurately advertised; it's a fun way to add a little novelty to kids biking, and also effective for safety purposes as the lights are bright enough at night and visible from afar. I also appreciate the freedom to choose from three distinct settings (On, Off, or Blinking) as kids sometimes want them blinking but sometimes just want them to stay on. Installation was not complicated but a tad cumbersome in that you have to weave around each spoke--not a big deal but expect it might take 10 minutes in all. Overall a good product. ... show more

I like that these are dual purpose by adding some flair but also making you more visible after dark. I plan to still wear reflective gear etc. too but these look cool, everyone loves LEDs. I only bought 1 to try it and see, but it would be nice to see these offered as 2 packs. I totally get that some people want to mix up the colors so 1 packs work best for that though. Installation can feel a bit tedious (because you have to wrap the tiny wire around spokes) but the direction sheet is very clear and if you go to their website for the install video, it's even easier to follow along. Time will tell how well these do in wet conditions though as I did not see a rubber gasket inside the cap of the module. Overall, for casual cycle rides, these will do the trick.
