The colors are nice and pretty easy to use. These are just like markers, in that you don’t press the tip in to activate the paint, like you do with “oil based paint markers”. These work on quite a few different types of surfaces, but the drying time may make it a little difficult to use in a fast paced environment, like marking and cutting a bunch of materials.     • "Oil based"; No annoying smell; Thickness of lines is similar to Sharpie type markers;
__I intend to use these acrylic paint pens for 2 purposes: Writing on some slick black paper labels (interior) and writing on some metal plant tags (exterior). I am sure I will find other uses as well, LOL. __These write smoothly and all three colors were opaque when writing on black or lighter surfaces. The ink flowed smoothly, so there was no feeling of a dry dragging sensation. __There were 3 each of 3 colors: Gold, Silver and White. It is easy to distinguish which pens are which color due the the color coded band on the pen AND the color coded end of the corresponding cap. __They say the ink is oil based, so that should make it hold up out of doors, but nowhere does it say the ink is "permanent"--they merely say "Hold long time", so I wonder if they will eventually fade, but only time will tell that. Because they are oil based I still have hope. __The thickness of the line is more than 2mm, definitely at least 3 mm (The line is more like 4 mm, IMHO--maybe due to my hand pressure?). The thickness of the line will make writing longer plant names more of a challenge for my particular plant tags, and ditto for my black labels, but at least all labels will be marked. __I am disappointed in the line size (was hoping for closer to 2mm), but the color is true and the ink flows well, so I am still glad to have these. ... show more

    • Great pens, great ink!
These are super cool pens! I got them to write on some glass bottles that I was crafting to give as gifts. They were easy to use and have nice points on them. There are different tips and the paint flows nicely. I like the acrylic paint, it is less smelly than oil-based paints! The painting was really nice and smooth, and dried really nicely. The gold and silver have a nice metallic finish, and the white color was nice and brightly white. These were great to use for my little project, and I if you like writing or painting little designs these are great to use! ... show more

I stock items like these silver, gold and white acrylic paint markers for art projects primarily with my grandson. Being of the opinion that the arts are critical to mature development I try to change out what we do each visit including rock painting, canvases and clays. After trying these markers on canvas paper, it would seem they will work for touch ups like a smattering here/there on moon lite plants in paintings. They dried rather quickly on the paper so once tried on canvas will report back on those results. I suspect that the paint will wash off glass, fabrics and to some extent plastic although the markers could leave a stain on plastic. Based on my test then I would recommend using these pretty colored markers on objects that will not get wet. Also keep in mind they make thick lines when used flat but the line can be softened somewhat if the markers are used sideways. Overall great markers for craft projects. ... show more

I got this set of 9 paint pens for kids to paint rocks at a party. I tried it out on a rock and they went on smoothly with vibrant, bright colors that dried quickly. I love these silver, gold, and white markers. Just pull them out of the box, pull the cap off, and start marking your art. It's that easy. The colors are bright. The tip is what I'd call a medium thickness which is quite versatile for the art I do. I especially like that I can cover large areas or just add a few accent marks. I love that there are 3 pens for each color so that if I start to run out of the color I'm using, I know that I have more of the same color to finish what I'm working on.
