Purchased this to do dog holes on MF bench. It wobbled and was not smooth in use. Barely did two holes when it was boxed up and returned. I had better performance using drill press to drill through 4x4x4 block and then a long 3/4” carpenter’s bit. I do NOT recommend

    • Inexpensive.
Is what it is: cheap copy. NOT copied by an engineer. The bearings are pin bearing assemblies pressed in place and not able to spin. Someone has no clue how this type of bearing is supposed to work. I will use this until one of the bearings explode, which shouldn't be long. Did I mention the bearing assemblies were totally dry? The shaft in the bearings was not even close to smooth? -- I did what I could to help. I need this for 93 holes x 2. I hope it will last that long. I will be back when I finish. ... show more

    • Cheaply made, not stable, hobby tool, not professional
Everything comes loose as you drill, so you have to retighten everything after each hole drilled (I had 16 to get through quickly on this project). The chuck is the worst quality I've ever seen. Barely holds the bit still, comes loose often while drilling. Not accurate, too wobbly, too much play in it, not that stable. Good for a hobby, avoid for professional level work. ... show more

I chose this thing because I could get it in time for an upcoming project. Wouldn’t assemble due to threaded holes being damaged or not threaded deep enough. This is the first bad review I’ve written on any product I have ever purchased. No stars
