  • SO MANY ice cube molds to choose from..LOVE THIS ONE
Style: Golf Large Ice Molds 2 pack
I recently bought these for my husband, he has a love of Golf. He asked me to order him EXTRA large ice cube molds. Spheres that go in glasses but take much longer to melt than old fashion ice cubes. I had no idea this was even a thing! HAHA I went to Amazon and was overwhelmed with possibilities. From $5.00 to over $100.00 . I spent way to much times reading reviews. I decided to start low and go higher until I found what worked best. Tips on this item: Use spring water or 99% pure like through a Lifestraw, Berkey, Zero water etc. All available on Amazon too. That makes the ice cubes clear not smokey. I used a $1.00 plastic funnel to pour in but a turkey baster etc works too DO NOT overfill, if you do, drain a little out, otherwise you will have a stem on your sphere I wrapped two rubber bands around my golf ball ice cube, making a X, it helps no air and keeps the shape, Before placing in your glass, run a second of cold water on it, makes the golf ball shine Last;y I kept in my freezer overnight. They remove perfectly and being soft silicone wash up in seconds. He liked them so much I bought a few more for his golf buddies. Great Christmas gifts. Also I bought them on sale for only $5.00 dollars each. Well worth it ... show more

  • Nice Ice
Style: Golf Large Ice Molds 2 pack
It's a pretty straight forward and direct way of making an ice ball for your drinks that comes out looking like a large golfball. I've used several other types of ice-sphere makers and this is probably the most easy and simple way to do so. Ice trays that make multiple spheres are great for making batches but also tend to be a bit of a messy endeavor. I like this one just because it's so self contained and doesn't take up a bunch of space in the freezer like the trays. If you don't need lots of ice spheres on hand all the time and only use them occasionally, then this single sphere unit might be all you need. Even if you wanted or needed to have a few on hand, with a little planning and attention you could produce a bunch over time and store them in your freezer until you needed them. If however you tend to go through a bunch of them often then investing in a tray might be the wiser choice. But for the slow and steady drinker who likes to enjoy the slow melt of the ice sphere this might be a great choice. I have no interest in golf so the mold doesn't do anything for me, but for the golf enthusiast it might just a hole in one. ... show more

  • Fun but handle gently when full of water
Style: Golf Large Ice Molds 2 pack
This makes a nice ice ball for your whiskey. It is a good size for an old fashioned glass. It is as effective as any ice ball for cooling your drink with slow melting but is novel in that it is made to look like a golf ball. They wash up well in the dishwasher. The only knock is that these do not have a tight seal. It is more that if “fits” together. Both pieces are flexible silicone so be careful handling when you fill with water. It is easy to mess up the seal and have water leak. I like that these are individual and not a tray of several since that makes them easier to place in the freezer and not take up a lot of room. I make a couple a day and then put them in a freezer bag. Once I get enough I put these in the dishwasher. My advice is not to leave in the freezer. Ice and silicone will absorb freezer odors if left for too long a time. ... show more

  • Fun ice
Style: Golf Large Ice Molds 2 pack
We had a golf party and my husband is also golf crazy. These make cool ice cubes or should I say balls. They are a little awkward to fill as sometimes the water plugs the top when it’s not actually full to the top - I suggest filling with a small jug and going very slowly. Once they are filled they are very delicate so you need to be careful when transferring them to the freezer. Once they are frozen they are easy to get out of the mold and look great. They also work great in alcoholic drinks as they are large they take longer to melt meaning they don’t water your drink down as fast as regular ice cubes. ... show more

  • Large Golf Ball Ice Cube Molds
Style: Golf Large Ice Molds 4 pack
Who doesn't love craft ice cubes in their drinks, am I right? This set comes with 4 molds that make the perfect size piece of ice. The molds snap together and there is a small hole at the top for filling with water. Using a small funnel I was able to pour water into the molds without making a mess. I did have a little trouble with one of the molds staying together while filling with water but after adjusting the position it was no longer leaking. They were placed into the freezer overnight and the next day ready for removal. The top of the mold was easily removed, but the bottom required a little more effort as I had to pull the sides away from the ice cube. The cubes look great, but the ice did have some cracks in it. I think next time I'll try placing these inside of a container to slow down the freezing process. This technique is supposed to yield clear ice. Overall I'm happy with these and will be using them again soon. ... show more
