The adapter is for the older explorer with the slide in rail, not the with 2017+ models with the rails ready to just screw cross bars in place. No support padding included to install directly for newer models that don’t use the slide in roof rails, with abs material can cause vibration friction and snap or break if too much pressure is applied. I gave it a 3* as it may not properly fit my vehicle, but it’s not bad quality or at a high price. ... show more

Went on easy for 2020 Highlander XLE, feels sturdy/ HAD A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF THE END CAPS FLEW OFF. BE SURE THEY SNAP ON GOOD. Great customer service from ACMEX, they stepped up and sent me a whole new rack.

    • Crossbars did not fit my 2016 GC Limited.

The cross bars were too short and did not allow the feet to sit properly in the existing rails. 1/2" short!
