This thing is a surprising amount of power packed into a relatively thin frame. It can handle every game I throw at it and then some... Not to mention running some local AI models with all of thag glorious VRAM. Only caveats: the speakers are a bit weak (I use headphones normally anyways) and I've had recurrent issues with the wifi/Bluetooth adapters (nothing a quick driver reinstall can't fix even at its worst). Please be aware that you are likely to get a damage or broken new $3k computer like I did. For the price of the computer you would expect the build quality to be higher. The power plug looked weird like it was out of place. It was hard to plug into the power brick, which was a bad sign. Only the power brick was connected on the computer with only one place to plug it in. Turns out it won’t power on or charge despite being plugged in for hours (know good power outlet, tested with other devices with no issues). No lights on the computer either. I guess quality has gone down hill with the Predator line and the computer was returned the same day through Amazon. Buyer beware bad quality. Other posts seem to say it gets too hot, some others bad screens, others bad motherboard. It’s clearly a trend. So good luck if you order this. ... show more

    • Nice laptop, with the worst speakers I've heard in over a decade

This laptop has plenty of pros... Modern 12th Gen Intel CPU, NVidia 3080Ti (laptop version), plenty of RAM. They were a bit stingy on the SSD but 1TB will get you by for a while. The screen is a nice improvement over the laptop it's replacing (close to years old). I was pleasantly surprised the only bloatware of significance was Norton, which I immediately got rid of - nobody needs that garbage. However, it has one major drawback and one minor annoyance. The touchpad is annoying and easy to palm - could have sworn this problem was fixed 10 years ago but it's not on this laptop (not by default at least). The bigger issue though.... the sound is awful. Not just your typical bad laptop speakers, but almost like they're blown bad. Better get ready to use headphones or separate speakers because you're not going to want to listen to these clearly overlooked speakers that are built in. DTS/X... lol... whatever that means... it definitely doesn't mean good quality built-in speakers that's for sure. ... show more

The only reason I'm giving three stars is because the laptop did work fairly well for a year and some change. I've been very careful with it. It sits on a shelf on top of a laptop fan, plugged into an external display. It's never been dropped, never been used to visit sketchy websites...any of the stuff that would make a laptop more likely to fail. Well, as of about a week ago, I now have a $2400 brick sitting on my shelf. My best guess is that the CPU failed, as it was overheating just browsing the internet, and the entire computer kept freezing, then eventually gave me a blue screen of death. Since I can't afford the few hundred dollars it's gonna take to fix the dang thing, it's gonna sit on the shelf while I try to function using my 10yo computer with 1/3 the specs that's still trucking along. ... show more

I absolutely love this gaming laptop! It’s a monster, I’ve played a lot of games with it so far. Gears 5, Forza Horizon 5, and many other titles. I play a lot of vr as well! It did excellent paired with a oculus quest 2. The laptop is perfect for gaming or work. It has all the speed you need and the software pre installed is very helpful too. Honestly can’t go wrong with this price and with the 3080ti edition, they offer a free NVMe slot! It’s actually not bad getting into it and putting a 2TB storage upgrade. I’m going to be away for home for a while and will update my review whenever I have it on a plane/airport. So far at home, it is a great laptop for home use! ... show more
