Only downside is it doesn't fully functions like how a laptop should ny back for not doing thorough research. Touch is good do most of my school work on it. It has a dowside while trying to watch movies the screen is just glaring and dark in some areas. but for sure will be upgrading to a laptop later. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is my first Chromebook. This Chromebook is awesome. I love it. It turns into a tablet when you flip the screen to the back. Chrome OS is very easy to learn. I love how all the apps you need to work just pops up with a click. To make a right click, touch the ALT button and hold it while you tap the trackpad then choose which right click menu option you want from the pop up menu. To see your installed apps, you just tap the launch button. It’s a round circle on the left side of keyboard. I use it as a tablet to play games and when i need to type you just flip it back to laptop mode. Chromebooks have come a long way! ... show more

Description states this unit supports USI stylus which is why I selected it. On receiving it tried to use one, then come to find out that the CP314-1H does NOT support active stylus at all! The CP314-1HN does, but this one does not. Feeling ripped off and lied to. Misleading, and I would NOT have paid as much had they not provided false information on the listing. Could have gotten what I wanted for an equivalent price. Unfortunately I need a computer and I can't really return it, but I'm pretty angry. Other than that - it's thicker than my previous laptop, but the hinges seem solid enough. screen quality is mediocre and very angle sensitive. it's a little laggy. I purchased this Chromebook about a month and half ago. The picture quality is great. I don't like that I have to choose between "Phone" view, "full-view" (which doesn't always give me a full view. That is frustrating. I guess that is the difference between a Chromebook and a lap top. The response speed is slower than expected. Every time I open the Chromebook, it takes time for the Chromebook to pic up my WiFi, even though I did not unlink the WiFi when I closed the Chromebook. This just has a slower application speed I guess. When the Chromebook was delivered, it would not connect to WiFi. I had to take it to different locations with different WiFi to attempt to get the WiFi to connect. After looking for updates and then updating the system (which took time), then and only then did it slowly connect to WiFi. Still is slow. Overall, if you are only using the Chromebook for internet searches, then this is doable. Definitely doesn't have quick response between websites. ... show more

Mine was $100.00 off. The screen resolution is fine for normal use (it's not an 85-inch TV.) It's really fun to have the Android features I'm used to from my Pixel phone on a laptop-tablet. My tech buddies looked askance, "You're buying a Chromebook?" One is an IT manager who works with all of the flavors of Linux, Windows, etc. Another is a game developer whose toolset is Unity. Unlike them, I'm doing language study where easy access to Google Drive, a reliable camera and mic, adequate battery, and a fun user experience are my values. I like to satisfy my wife on birthdays and holidays with gifts from Apple, but my value was to spend less than $500.00 and have that iPad touchscreen capability.
