  • Its fine for working on stuff from home
Capacity: 15.6inch/16GB+512GB
This was a good buy for a simple home laptop. I am not a gamer and use mine for work from home stuff with Office software. This has adequate speed and can do what I need it to. My only complaint is that the USB-C for data is not able to go to a monitor. The laptop can connect to a wireless monitor, so I purchased an HTML wireless adapter, because the monitors I have are not set up for wireless. With that in place I can use dual full size monitors and the laptop as needed. ... show more

  • Great laptop, comes with zero bloatware
Capacity: 15.6inch/16GB+512GB
I was unsure of the brand AceMagic, never heard of them. But, this laptop put my doubts to rest. This laptop comes with only Windows 11 and no bloatware. The fans are very quiet, has a fast processor, and performs very well with no flaws.. Overall, this is a well made and physically sturdy computer. I installed MS Office Suite, Cyberlink PowerDirector Suite, SoundForge, a few security software programs, and all works well with no lag or freeze. I search the web, pay bills, watch videos, listen to music, and open multiple pages fast with no delay. For the price and its specs, it's worth the investment. ... show more

  • Decent little NUC. If you keep the load on it light, it's snappy and performs well.
Capacity: 3inch/16GB RAM 512GB SSD
Honestly, I was skeptical about this little guy. It's a small computer cube that boasts some respectable stats. Obviously, this is not going to be a workhorse or a serious system, but for a extremely lightweight and portable option, it does pretty well. Let's be real, this is mainly for checking email, some office work, perusing the web and watching some videos. That's about it. You're not going to game, do media developing or anything intensive. With that understood, that is how I'm going to approach reviewing this. As a multitasking office station. Upon turning it on the machine booted quickly into a fresh install of Windows 11. I had it hooked up via HDMI to a portable monitor and it went right through the steps with the setup portion of waiting taking only about 45 seconds. Once in, I immediately updated everything from windows to the intel driver, giving it the best chance at performing well. I also, change the power options mode to "High Performance" to let it give everything it's got for the test. Then I went straight to Cinebench. It's not a perfect stress tester, but it gives you a good idea of what to expect. (*NOTE: for some reason Cinebench was reporting the OS to be Windows 10, but the OS is actually 11. It must be a bug in Cinebench*) The first picture shows the final results. MultiCore @ 2585 and a SingleCore @ 905. Nothing to write home about for sure but not the worst I've seen. Like I said, completely fine for office work. The second picture is the live stats of the hardware as a second round of Cinebench was running. The processor never got above 62*c. What's more notable is the fan was almost completely silent at that temp. If you got up close you could hear it but from, 2 feet away, I couldn't. The test takes 10 minutes so there was plenty of time to get thermal throttled and that never tripped. So the cooling system can keep up with the CPU. Also, the CPU never boosted to above 2.7GHz the entire time I was testing. I'm sure you could get to the rated 3.0+ GHZ boost speeds in very short intervals, but for sustained load, 2.7 is what you should expect. More importantly, is how did it feel using it? In all sincerity, it felt snappy. It popped in and out of apps quickly and surfing the net was quick, thanks to it having 5ghz wifi. It didn't like chrome though. Chrome is a memory hog and definately made other apps feel a bit more sluggish bouncing back and forth. Edge though still allowed the system to perform to a level that I was happy with. Overall, I went into this skeptical and this system surprised me. All things considered, it's a functional computer in a cube with decent performance and I/O. It's not going to replace my everyday workstation. But I have it in my backpack with a portable screen and keyboard/mouse that allows me to setup anywhere. And I couldn't help but compare it to a laptop for functionality that way. For the price of $180, a screen ($80) and keyboard/mouse ($30), I compared it to other $300 laptops I've used, this was no doubt the better option. It is a good margin better than those. As for a tablet in that range, There might be better "performers" out there with their lighter OS, but with the array of options with a full installation of windows 11, you can't really argue that. ... show more

  • An impressive tiny computer
Capacity: 3inch/16GB RAM 512GB SSD
This review is on the AceMagic T8PLUS, which features an Intel N95 CPU, 12GB of DDR5 Ram, a 258GB SATA M2 SSD drive, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, three HDMI ports, and three USB-3.2 ports, all in an incredibly small package. The computer also has both Bluetooth and WiFi networking built-in, both of which performed well. It is powered by a 12 volt – 2.5 amp (30 watt) wall-plug style power supply. The computer is strikingly small, housed in a silver cube that measures just under 3.5” square by about 1.5” thick. At this size you’d expect some compromises in cooling and performance, however, I found none. I ran several benchmarks and stress tests and this little computer exceeded my expectations. For example, under a full stress test that pushes the CPU to its limit by running it under a constant 100% load for an extended period of time, it showed no thermal throttling, with CPU temperatures averaging around 68c, occasionally creping up to 70c only to be cooled back down by spinning the fan up a bit more. The fan is very quiet, under normal use it is not audible, under the stress tests it spun up to a high rpm yet remained relatively quiet, at just a slight hum. Needless to say, the cooling system performs extremely well, especially when considering the small size. The Intel N95 CPU is an entry-level 12th gen “Alder-Lake” 64-bit mobile processor. It has 4 single-thread cores with a maximum “turbo” Frequency of 3.4GHz, with 6MB of CPU Cache and a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of just 15 watts. Intel UHD graphics are integrated into the CPU. This is a modern low-power processor launched in early 2023. The processor supports up to three HDMI monitors at a full 4K (4096x2160 @60Hz). Although, just because you can plug-in three 4K monitors doesn’t mean it can render 4K fast enough for a smooth visual experience. I found it handled rendering 4K@60Hz video streams on a single monitor without issue, although streaming 4K video content did push the CPU pretty hard. I doubt you’d have satisfactory results running multiple 4K video streams at the same time. Multiple monitors for office applications appeared to work well, I tested it with two monitors connected one at 1080P and one at 4K with no issues. Having two network interfaces is a bit uncommon for a mini-pc in this price range. This feature adds a lot of versatility to the package, making this an ideal candidate for use as a firewall, router, or home server. For example, this would make an excellent media and home automation server, allowing you to isolate the IOT devices from the internet while still allowing the media server to stream internet content. I ordered this for use as a streaming device connected to a 65” smart TV, as it allows me to run applications, browsers, extensions and filters that the smart-TV cannot, a huge advantage if you want to take full advantage of the web from your big screen TV. I ran extensive malware and rootkit scans on the device and found no unwanted software. The computer comes with Windows 11-Pro with no bloatware, which is refreshing. I also monitored its network traffic and found no instances of it phoning home. Bottom-Line: This is an impressively small low-power computer. The N95 CPU isn’t a powerhouse by any means, but it is well matched for streaming media, running as a router or firewall, home media/automation server and everyday computer tasks, all with very low energy use. ... show more

This isn't my main driver. I have it around for light use for running simple applications that don't work on my Mac. Works great for this purpose. I'm using it with a 2k Acer SH242Y which it runs fine. Good simple computer for watching YouTube, videos, also.
