  • Very useful
Style: 120 x 90
Very useful for household use. We are remodeling a home that was poorly built. Helpful to see where we can make energy improvements. We aren’t looking for exact temperatures so I cannot comment on that aspect. The image is good enough to identify what you are looking at but isn’t high definition as mentioned in some reviews. Easy to use out of the box. ... show more

  • Excellent-Great price and easy to use. SGML1984 there.
Good to have, great and cheap. Clean interface. Happy. Great to see SGML specs from 1984! There! WOW.

  • Very handy, not completely stable.
Mine freezes up every few seconds. It starts working again after a brief pause. When it's operating, it's great. The option to have it highlight hot and cold spots is handy. I've used it for troubleshooting HVAC output, finding overheating components on circuit boards, and determining which appliances aren't cooling properly. It's been very helpful, so much so that I only remove one star for the aggravating pauses. ... show more

  • Works great and is very intuitive
Style: 120 x 90
This imaging camera works so well that everyone in the family is able to use it for various purposes: looking for leaks around the water heater, looking for temperatures at the various heater ducts, looking for hot spots on circuits, etc. It works great!

  • Very useful when investigating house leaks
We use this camera to look for heat/cooling leaks within our homes. It's a great tool very easy to use it's awesome to be able to take pictures. We used it at a friend's house to help him identify a plumbing leak from a second floor.

  • Amazing toy that has gotten affordable.
Style: 120 x 90
Great fun!. I use it mostly for cooking, like to measure when a pan I am heating is ready. And how hot it is between the foods. When I was ill, I measured my mouth, and the peak did agree with the thermometer.

  • Not so good warranty but good features
I have had this unit for about 10 months. Have been really happy with the features & resolution having used it sporadically. Had an issue when new with the charging cable to transfer data & manufacturer asked that I order a replacement elsewhere & reimbursed via credit. Recently having trouble with unit time & date stamp. Contacted seller via Amazon. Took a few messages, some with significant delays in them responding. I would not say they are unresponsive. In the end the 18-month worry free warranty offered at time of purchase turns out not to be worth much since they don't have parts on hand and are saying to send it at my cost & they are expecting a 1-2 month repair time before sending it back. Say they can not exchange since this model is discontinued, although "new" model appears to have identical features & looks. ... show more

  • Does a good job of showing temperature differences, but the temperature readings are way off
Style: 120 x 90
You can easily see hot and cold spots on the screen. The problem is that the temperatures can be 10°F too low (or worse). The temperature reading will start out correct but quickly decrease until the device recalibrates itself. It recalibrates about once every 20s, so the reading is incorrect most of the time. Therefore, I would not use this device to take temperature readings. I would only use it to locate hot or cold spots. Then use a regular infrared laser thermometer to take the actual temperature. Keep in mind, not all surfaces have the correct emissivity to be measured. For example, you can't take the temperature of a mirror with this device. ... show more
