Bought this alternator as a replacement for my 2007 Chevy Tahoe due to some awkward voltage dipping that were occurring occasionally when the electrical cooling fans kicked on made sure before hand to check all my ground points and cables and my wiring installed this alternator and si far is working as designed the fit was perfect as OEM. ... show more

The write up for this on amazon says: "100% newly manufactured as an exact replacement for your GM vehicle's original alternator" - When I bought is April 1, 2015 and as I write this review on April 3, 2015. The box indicates "re manufactured". Shame on Amazon! I do not like false statements or false advertising! The box does state AC Delco and the item is an exact match to the original one that was on my truck. I went ahead and installed it as I needed a new alternator. I have over 300k on my 2008 Silverado, and I had issues with the voltage regulator in the original alternator, with voltage fluctuating. Tried this item and it only took about 15mins to change out. Problem was instantly fixed, love the quality of this item and ease of installation.

    • Really bad quality
I replaced the alternator three months ago and the pulley melted and broke my belt, also is falling apart there is lots of noise inside when you shake it. Really bad product.
