  • Noisy and missing parts sort of
Used on a 2000 Nissan Frontier 3.3 It does whine like other reviews have said, not that big of a deal considering the price. HOWEVER where I was annoyed was with the ground wire bolt. It IS NOT a direct replacement from my original Nissan Alternator ground bolt! Short trip to the auto parts store and I found a replacement that works with a additional washer.(picture to help others) M5-.8 x12 Not that big of a deal because I have another car to drive to go to the store, but game changer if I didn't. Overall would have been better if they had just included the ground with it. Only because I read a review on here, did I not freak out. They mentioned they had to retap to a 6mm from the 5mm hole that it came with, so I was kind of anticipating a possible issue. Worth checking BEFORE you get the old one out and the new one in. Added photo so others can see the bolt I used ... show more

  • 2000 Nissan Xterra SE V6 2x4
Direct replacement for a failing alternator on my Xterra. I replaced this by going in from underneath. With all of the bolts removed, I could not get the old alternator out (blocked by torsion bar, mostly). I did a Google search and found a YouTube video that mentioned having to take the alternator bracket off. Once I did that, I was able to get the old alternator out and this new alternator in. It requires all of the socket wrenches, too. 8mm for the ground wire, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. Because of the break I had to do to look up how to remove the alternator bracket, this 30-minute job took me 2 hours. ... show more

  • Noisy
It’s a tad noisy used in my 2001 Xterra as a replacement for my suspected old one- works perfect beyond the slight wine.

  • Works but it is noisy
For the low price this a good deal. The only con is that it make a whining sound all the time. Its not supper loud, but you can hear when driving.

  • Good product otherwise
Had to tap ground bolt holes from 5mm to 6mm, not a big deal. Good product otherwise.
