AC Delco Professional is the way to fly. The idler mount, arm, and pitman arm are only about $60 total more than the same parts in the ACDelco Advantage line, but the Professional line is much beefier. They work for the GMT 800 trucks. Strongly recommend the OTC 6496 Close Quarters Pitman Arm Puller for Truck/SUV, given the frame on these trucks; that puller is the best $60 your may ever spend. In addition to stopping the tire wear issues with the old idler and pitman arms, this made a huge difference in the ride quality of my truck at highway speeds! I used Mystik JT-6 Hi-Temp lithium-complex grease to lube them up, and all the ball joints and tie rods. It's a high temp grease for wheel bearings, but cheap and has killer specs (they do list it as a chassis grease). ... show more

    • Great Parts at a Great Price
I went with ACDelco Professional parts when I replaced all of my front end. A few reviewers stated that they replaced their Idler or Pitman Arm with ACDelco Advantage parts, and the repair job did not last. So I took their advice and spent a few extra dollars on it. I bought both an Idler Arm and Pitman Arm, and both looked a whole lot like the original equipment. I replaced everything under my front end: Pitman arm, Idler arm, Inner and Outer Tie Rods. It was the Idler Arm though that was totally wobbly and jinky. As far as I could tell (after removing it) the Pitman Arm was solid as a rock. It was good to have all the parts off and replaced. This is a very stout pitman arm, at a great price from Amazon warehouse deals. The problem is, of course, that it's supposed to be an idler arm. As you can see, the 4 grooved spline teeth are cast and set well, and if I'd ordered a pitman arm it would be at least a 5 star. I doubt it's Amazons fault, it appears someone returned the incorrect part in the correct box per this part number. I contacted ACdelco, who promptly told me to buzz off, and then Amazon directly, who as always where top notch about a return. I'll update my review when the idler arm arrives. ... show more

Quality was not as good as the original which was a GM Part made in the USA. This GM Part is made in China and has no GM part number cast into the part. SENT BACK!!!!

Seems to be a solid well built part which should last a while - I made the mistake of buying cheaper front end kit made by Detroit diesel which lasted less than 5k miles ! Should have purchased the oem quality first time around and saved myself twice the headache of replacing these parts ! Lesson learnt ! ... show more

Ordered an idler arm and received another pitman arm. Didn’t notice it was a pitman arm until I was ready to install the part. Now I’m past my return window and stuck with two pitman arms.

I bought this for my 2004 GMC YUKON DENALI. It fits perfect just like original parts. Only had it on 2 weeks so we will see how they hold up but as of now it works great.

Really good quality idler arm. Fit perfectly in place of the original one on my 05 silverado 1500. Pretty easy to replace also and a really good price.
