  • The best!
Size: 10" x 20.75" (x2)
If you want quality products that do what you need them to do and keep on doing it then ac infinity is the brand to go with. Their products just feel like quality and they perform just as good as they feel. I’m so glad they have focused so much on their line of indoor gardening equipment because it gives growers a high quality option. Anyway, these mats are perfect! I grow thousands of out her plant seedlings and I prefer to use a heat mat while germinating them. The past few mats have fallen short because they use a thermostat that must be inserted into the soil to read the temp. While this may not seem like a big deal, I’ve had the sensor come out before and narrowly avoided frying my seedlings! These mats however use a dial that you can tune to perfectly set your desired temperature (I use a laser thermometer for soil temps) not only is that helpful but it makes it much simpler to achieve your desired results. Another thing I really like about these mats is they are not bulky at all. The technology they use is infrared and not heat coils. Which means it’s EVEN HEAT and with no hot spots like coil mats have. I feel like that’s a much safer option as heat coils, while rare, can short out. They do take slightly longer to reach peak heat but does a few extra minutes really matter when germinating seeds? Not really. If you are looking for a high quality heat mat that will outperform any others you’re going to find, just do yourself a favor and go with these. They won’t disappoint!! ... show more

  • Plain and simple heat mat, basic and good
Size: 10" x 20.75"
I used this very basic heat mat to warm some transplants to stimulate root growth and it works well. You plug it in, under the little greenhouse dome you may be using and the gentle heat from the mat does the rest. It's basic and it works well with no complaints . Did not monitor temperature, so I took it at face value, nothing was over-heated or damaged, so it's fine. Just needed to provide steady heat to my cuttings and did not go the whole "scientific" route of monitoring, just plug and play. Very basic, works fine IMO and I'd buy one again, and recommend for simple, basic needs. ... show more

  • Works great
Size: 10" x 20.75"
I was surprised by how good the quality of this mat is. The adjustable temperature really works, I tested the temperatures before trying the seeds on it. Low is barely warm, high is a little too warm even for my chilly basement, and I found that about 1/3 past medium turned out perfect. Almost all of my bell pepper seeds came up. I just ordered another of these so I can start the rest of my seeds at once. I am completely new at starting plants from seeds but this makes it easy. I highly recommend this mat! ... show more

  • Solid heating mat as long as you get addon temp controller that can handle 1000w heat mats
Size: 48" x 20.75"
I bought these in May of 2022 to help move along some pepper starts that just were not having much luck in my 70F basement seedling start station area. Without insulation or building a box for the seedling starts, this raised up the soil temps in both seedling start (1.5") trays and 4" starter pots from an average of 63-65F to about 80-82F. Paired with a BN-Link controller that allows me to fine tune the exact soil temp, I'm getting consistent 81.5F soil temps (cross-checked with digital thermometers and two Kinsa medical thermometers used during COVID-19). The caveats here are that in some of the mats I purchased, there is a dial that allows you to increase or decrease overall heat for the mat, and that's useful only if you aren't using a soil temp probe to get exact heat temps. The cords are long enough that I can use them. You CAN place steel or aluminum trays over these to provide a cleaner surface; I don't recommend it, because the additional thermal mass will take longer to heat up and more heat will be lost in an open system. I -highly- recommend using these on a flat wooden surface. If, like I do, you repurpose metal storage racks with grid shelving, you will want to add a flat piece of metal or water-resistant plywood for these to sit on rather than allow them to drape on the grid. They work better at reflecting and retaining heat with plywood than metal. I worried a bit about electric shorts, but realized that the wood simply won't get that hot, and if there is an issue, my GFCI surge protectors plugged into the power strip will handle it long before it becomes an issue. I have yet to try these in an insulated box, cabinet, or tent; my guess is that my soil temps could easily rise. Water hasn't been an issue at all. The mats wipe off instantly and even when a small pool has sat for a few days, it hasn't been a problem. Cleaning them? Just regular spray cleaner and water wipedown. I also used two of these in outdoor greenhouse/leantos during the spring and summer of 2022 as additional heat for pepper plants and tomatoes. They kept temps at the right heat levels to make it possible to grow habaneros and Ajio Limon in the fickle Seattle temp variations. Things that could be better: The cords are sufficiently long to use but it would make me much happier to have the cords start at the corner of the mat rather than the middle of one of the ends. They tend to curl up at the ends if they're unplugged for some time. Part of that is just the natural shrinkage of plastic and metal when it's colder; still, the design could be improved a little. All in all, a solid heating mat for the price and size. If it survives six years or more, I will count these well worth the money. ... show more

  • Works well just 1 small issue
Size: 10" x 20.75"
This seedling heating mat works very well. My only complaint would be that the cord leading from the controller to the pad is very short. Luckily i had just enough room to put the controller outside of the grow tent.

  • Nice, but can I buy this one again?
Size: 20" x 20.75"
There's a lot to like, the material, the double flat size, and the inline dial controller. Set up is neat and easy. Simply wrapping the mat the opposite direction gets rid of the curved memory. Lay it out, plug it and a light comes on telling you it is working. You can feel it working in seconds. The material is easy to sanitize. The manual contains directions for just about everything Suncore makes. The storage bag for the mat is nice but I'm not sure that I will ever use it. I bought this on Amazon last April and am using it for the first time. I'm happy, but as I check the Amazon and ACINFINITY sites, I'm not certain that I can purchase this exact item again. ... show more
