I originally purchased this travel carrier for my( fatt )guinea pig to take her monthy to get her nails trimmed. She is very skiddish, so I was happy with the flap that covers the top window so to speak. She likes to hide. I realized I can also use this carrier for my cats as well as my 3lb chihuahua -on their trips to the vet! It seems very well made and comfortable when I wear it on my back. All the straps are adjustable! It should definitely hold up to a 16lb pet! *if you want to keep the top window flap up just leave it flapped over the back of the backpack against your back while wearing it. It stays put just fine! -No need for safety pins as one reviewer mentioned. I like that it has the 3 zipper openings with storage space and plenty of ventilation and breathing room for all my beloved pets! Overall I am pleased with this purchase and its well worth the money! Easy to use with three means of entry or exit. We did experience one zipper issue but it seems back on track now. Front pouch for collecting the mail on our walk. The cat seemed to enjoy the movement and getting outdoors. Good for the price; an upgraded version should include shoulder adjustments and a thicker waist strap. I just pulled this out of the box and put it together, and kitty jumped in it. So we took it for a walk around the neighborhood. It is great for $19.99 however it has some flaws you should know about. All the pockets are at the bottom of the bag so the entire bottom half of the bag is surrounded by thick fabric. All the mesh is at the top half of the bag. So I imagine it could get warm down at the bottom. Also there is nothing that comes with the bag that keeps the top flap cover rolled up. I put a clothes pin; you can see it in one of the pictures. It is fairly large, and my 10 pound kitty has plenty of room to stand and turn around. The inside latch leash thing is elastic. I don’t like that. There are a couple things I shall add of replace, but for the money it is probably one of the best bargains because it appears to be very durable material. I will update after some more use. Also be aware that you must zip the side zippers slowly and with care to not get the material caught in the zipper and jump the tracks. I would have given five stars if it had a latch or loop for the top flap cover. I don’t understand what you are supposed to do with it. You cannot flap it over the side because that is where the shoulder straps and handle go. It has to be rolled up. Oh well. Just get a clothes pin. ... show more
