  • Awesome hard freeze protection for my tropicals!
Size: 8x6
I live in Central Texas and needed winter protection for my outdoor tropicals during the occasional hard freezes we get. In the past, I’ve had to continually lug 30+ outdoor potted plants into and out of the garage all season, and wanted a greenhouse to use late Fall through early Spring so I wouldn’t have to keep doing that! I like the pop up idea so that during the warm months, I can easily take down the greenhouse and store it. Setup was relatively easy. I sell products at local farmers markets, so im very familiar with using a pop up style tent and with how to properly stabilize and weigh down tents like this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THE TIES AND STAKES THAT COME WITH IT! Invest in a set of actual heavy duty tent weights to attach to each leg. In this case, I chose the water-fill type weights, since I can empty and fold/store the weights come Spring/Summer when I put away the greenhouse for the season. Using these heavy weights, this pop up greenhouse easily withstood multiple 30-40mph wind storms! Last week, we had our first major hard freeze that saw continuous sub freezing temps for 72hrs, and several more sub-freezing nights. All of my plants in the greenhouse are tropicals with a minimum threshold of 50 degrees. I used tape to seal up the edges of the windows and laid 2x4’s down over the excess plastic cover material at ground level to prevent cold air getting in/warm air leaking out. I ran a small space heater (2 small space heaters on the coldest nights - when it dropped to about 14 degrees F outside) and hoped for the best! I used a Thermpro wireless digital temperature monitor/transmitter to monitor the interior temperature of the greenhouse from inside the house, and I’m thrilled to say inside the greenhouse it averaged temperatures in the mid 60’s-70’s during the day, and the lowest it got during overnight lows was 50! My tropical plants are doing great! The greenhouse plastic cover, sealed up properly, did a great job of holding in the heat. I’m so glad I finally have a simple solution to winter protection for my plants! ... show more

  • Great little greenhouse
Size: 8x8
Easy to set up

  • Works well, but has some issues
Size: 8x8
After a year, this is still standing, but the outside fits so tightly around the frame that it is hard to open and close the door, and certainly not without both hands. The guy ropes and ties are made out of some biodegradable material that disappeared after the first winter and I didn't bother with the included stakes that wouldn't hold down anything. I will need to punch holes through the cover and use some other rope to hold it down this winter. ... show more

  • Update: no. Just... no.
Size: 8x8
Edit: 3/22/2024: another corner tie-down has ripped completely out. I've also had to use clear tape to repair holes coming up throughout the cover. Nothing has poked, stabbed, rubbed, or otherwise directly caused damage. This is overpriced for how low quality. Please buy elsewhere. Customer service wants me to essentially use it as is but the wind is shifting the front upward even with bricks on the bottom flap edges! Edit 2/27/2024: one corner tie-down loop has ripped completely open. The right side zipper on both side windows is VERY hard to close - feels like it's going to break off any second. Thr entire left side zipper of main door feels same way. The greenhouse is decent but not worth what I paid. I'll be looking for a better solution come next fall. Until then it'll do. I did send an email about the issues so I'll see what happens. It lasted 4 months in NW Florida. Original review from October 2024: Spacious and secure place for plants over winter that cannot be brought indoors. The door zipper seems a bit flimsy so do exercise caution. The assembly was pretty straightforward but boy was it a PAIN. Getting the frame to "lock" in fully open position was super difficult for two grown adults to accomplish. Getting the cover on and secured was simple enough - be careful to not snag it. Couple tips: Get better stakes for the four corner tiedowns. I used ones purchased at Walmart. Get better rope for tiedowns, too. I used paracord with sliding knots so I could tie then anchor, then finally snug down. I put a small piece of the packing foam in each corner between frame & cover to help protect from cover getting punctured (its not super thin but thin enough). I used concrete blocks around bottom edge on 3 sides to help secure. I also added extra velcro to both window flaps because they have side zippers but only 1 piece of velcro in center. The flaps curl up on corners without additional velcro. Overall it's decent. If the cover lasts a year I'm happy. ... show more

  • A Great Biosphere!
Size: 8x6
Love this! Crammed in about 10 more plants since taking these pictures. It rained a few times and my plants stayed dry (that's good because rainy season in Florida has begun). I had help putting it up from a tall person who got the fabric over the top, but a short woman, like me, could have climbed on a stepladder and done it alone. It is easy to open the accordion structure and it is very roomy (I bought the 8x6). Price, product, and delivery excellent! ... show more

  • Held up great!
Size: 8x6
We had a severe cold front come through, lots of wind , up to 45 mph. Kept checking on it all night. Held up great! Plants didn't do great, but had below freezing for 3 days straight. Unusual for us in Louisiana. Need to amend my original review. Two zippers have already broken. Now I have no way to close it up. We are trying to tape it for tonight. A shame because the House itself has held up well. ... show more

  • Even tied down, it didn’t survive wind
Size: 8x6
The good: setup is extremely easy, two people can set up the frame, put the skin on, and tie it down in half an hour. Combined with row cover, it kept hardy plants alive during a cold snap. The bad: unfortunately, within a month of setting it up, a quite mild bout of wind caused one of the legs to bend so badly it sheared the (thin) metal almost in half. I don’t live in a high wind area and had staked and tied it down, but no dice. The rest of the frame is still fine, but unless I can think up a way to repair it, the whole unit is now basically trash. ... show more
