  • I love this and I'm picky about my training equipment!
Style: ab machine
(Female, 5'7", 155 lbs) I love this piece of equipment. I am a great skeptic of abdominal "machines" or whatever fancy name/description they give them. I FIRMLY believe that 70% of your abs are created in the kitchen and 30% in the gym. Long story semi-short: I had been in bodywork (PT, boxing, MMA, sports massage therapy, etc) for over two decades and in 2013 I became disabled in both of my feet (a total fluke and it's idiopathic) I had reconstructive surgery on my right foot & just my luck the surgery actually made it 1000 times worse 😑 SO now I have to figure out ways to adjust and adapt every single workout and how it impacts my feet esp the one that is worse now. This piece of equipment allows me to do that. I still perform regular abdominal exercises (stability ball, floor work, etc) but I need variety in my training sessions. This allows me to do crunches, (as though you were doing a standing high knee raise/kick which works your abs), but instead of my feet bearing all of my weight the machine does. I perform alternating knees for the lateral abdominal obliques then both together to achieve the reverse crunch affect. I also like the adjustable height. I have it low to start and will gradually increase the height for a more of a challenge. YOU HAVE TO ENGAGE YOUR CORE when using this or ANY other ab type assist product like the roll outs. I can't emphasize this enough! I guarantee no matter who you are if you let your back arch/dip it will hurt. Keep that core ENGAGED/TIGHT for the entire workout. That is the first thing you learn as a trainer which I used to be...your core attaches your top half to your bottom half and is the foundation for having a strong back..Strong consistent abdominal work will help strengthen your back. The knee and elbow pads are comfortable for me (yes the padding could be better but not a deal breaker for me and my knees have taken hits over the years from MMA but if your knee placement is correct it shouldn't be an issue). I also have a "click" in my hip so I place my knees closer together and then I don't feel the "click". I will say the directions lacked a bit but I've been assembling/building things since I was a teen so to me it was no biggie. I plan on reviewing my update on this product after I have used it for over a month or two and when 2nd surgery to repair the first is concluded (good times 😬) I'm hoping the padding can hold up to 5x a week use and hoping for no glitches down the road. As of this moment after a 2-3 weeks of use, I am thoroughly enjoying the change of routine and the ease of use for someone who ABSOLUTELY requires adaptive exercises due to a disability. If you're a beginner to exercise, this will feel awkward at first and it isn't meant to be an easy exercise that magically creates rock hard abs. It takes consistency, patience, proper form and a healthy eating regimen. ... show more

  • Very good product for the money and easy to assemble
Style: ab machine
The product came well packaged and undamaged. What impressed me most were the instructions on how to assemble it. We've all received things that needed assemble with poor or vague instructions. Not this. I've attached a photo of the instructions which only involved 6 bolts and washers. It came with the allen wrench required and some spare parts. I got it together in less than 10 minutes. Once assembled, I tried it out and this thing works. I had to drop the angle down so I could do 20 reps. It's got a rep counter which uses a AA battery. But you really don't need the electronic part of it to use as I can guarantee you can't do more reps than you can count to on this. Adjusting the angle is easy with one pin. Setting it up is easy by using the other pin. It stores in the area similar to what a guitar stand uses which doesn't take much space. I am very pleased with this unit. ... show more

  • Works Well for the Price
Style: ab machine
This works well for the price. It will give you a workout and will strengthen your core. The nice thing is that it doesn't take up much space and can be stored easily. It did come with a cut cord to the meter, but I don't need that anyway. I can count.

  • Worth It
Style: ab machine with resistance bands
If you want to add an ab machine to your home gym, this makes for a great addition! FYI ... It's harder than it looks. Which makes for a great challenge, and great abs if you stick with it.

  • Works great
Style: ab machine
Was pretty easy to put together, did it myself in about 20 min. I have an injury to my feet so I can't use my exercise bike or rowing machine yet so this was ideal. I don't have to put my feet down but can get a good lil belly workout. I put it on the lowest section and pulled my legs up, still a good lil stretch. Stable, safe, for my 160+ pds. Love that it folds away for my small space. ... show more

  • Great ab workout with no back pain
Style: ab machine
There were several reviews that said this was difficult to assemble, but I found the assembly to be very fast & easy. There are assembly instructions included & assembly is simple - insert 2 removable pins, screw in 6 bolts, clip on a decorative cover & LCD display, plug LCD Display into sensor, slide the foam arm rests on arms, and snap the caps on. It was fast and simple, and there are step by step instructions (in English) included along with pictures of each step. I hate doing crunches & sit-ups. They hurt my back & my neck. This machine gives an excellent ab workout, with no back or neck pain. The knee & arm rests are very comfortable. I can also feel it working my arm muscles & a bit in my upper thighs. This machine is really easy to use, but also works really well. The reason I purchased this machine instead of the similar models is that the knee rests slide independently on this machine so you are supposed to be able to work thighs/hips. That part doesn't really work well for me. I am 5'2 and if I try to slide the knee rests one at a time it does hurt my back a little. It feels like the track is a bit too long and it pulls my back weird for me to use the machine that way. I think it would work fine for taller people. It may also work for shorter people who have stronger abs - but I just got this machine and I am not there yet! This machine is a great ab machine when sliding both knee rests at the same time though so overall I am very happy with the purchase & highly recommend this machine. ... show more

  • Wish the top part could adjust
Style: ab machine
Easy to set up, works smoothly. Wish the top locking mechanism could alter the angle vs. just sit structurally.

  • Feel the burn!
Style: ab machine
I have to say, this really does work. You can feel the burn after doing a few reps and it's a lot easier on your back than doing crunches.
