Recently, I undertook the task of changing the oil in my car and stumbled upon this filter. The timing was impeccable as I had ordered this filter just as I was due for an oil change. Upon inspection, the filter looked high quality, packaged well and it fit seamlessly into my car. Adhering to the standard procedure of an oil change, I pre-soaked the filter’s O-ring with fresh oil prior to its installation. I then hand-tightened the new filter into place. After driving around for a couple of weeks, I was pleased to note that there was no evidence of any leakage around the filter. While I hope that the filter is functioning as intended, there is no definitive way for me to ascertain if the filter is indeed working optimally. However, based on the apparent quality of its construction and its perfect fit, I would recommend this filter to others. One suggestion I would like to make to the manufacturer is to include test results from an independent third-party testing lab. This would provide additional assurance to the customers about the filter’s performance. I plan to provide an update on the filter’s performance after my next oil change, which is scheduled after 5,000 miles. Stay tuned! ... show more

It looks nicely made and seems to be working fine. Install was just like any other. Oil seems smooth and clear after 5K miles. I think it should work fine for another couple of thousand before a change.

This filter looks and seems like good quality. It is rated at 99 percent filtering which is better than some of the lesser expensive filters out there. Based on it's specs and build quality I think I'm going to be happy and I think you will be too

Based on appearance this looks to be a nice filter. It has most of the same features as a little more expensive name brand filter. However, realistically it's hard for me to determine how well it works without having a way to measure how dirty or clean the oil is when using this vs. another filter. Most of us probably would not be able to definitively say one filter works better than another. We will know if the filter fails but if it works, and works like it should we will simply replace it when it hits the mileage we determine is the point to change the oil, 3000, 5000,7500, 10,000, etc. So far it's working fine on my son's 2012 Honda Civic and hopefully it will continue to work just fine. ... show more

I'm trying to get away from the filters that you find in big box stores, which is really just based on personal preference. I have used the OEM filters and typically order them, but they sometimes have longer wait times. I wanted to get my oil changed and this filter came across my feed. I can't speak to the 10K mile protection because I do change my oil more often than this as I have well over 200K miles on this van and part of why I think it's running so well is because of changing the oil at the advised intervals. This filter does seem more like the OEM ones I've gotten from Honda and the gasket also seems a bit more substantial than some of the other brands, but this might be my own experience. You'll see in the photo that while removing the old filter I use a disposable cup to catch all of that oil as I remove the filter. Just a pretty cool trick I happened to pick up from another DIYer. So far so good. No leaks that I can appreciate after a little time driving with this new filter on. ... show more

This oil filter was exactly as described and there didn't seem to be any issue with it. I would recommend it. It fit just how it should fit and there hasn't been any leaks

I had to change this pretty soon around 4K miles because the oil check didn't pass the quality check. The oil was burning and it was all bad according to the dealership. I had it replaced with a better oil filter and also had to replace oil so it costed me much more than just buying a better filter to start with. ... show more
