I sent this gift basket to a family friend for Christmas. It was ordered on a Saturday and delivered to the recipient the very next day...which is wonderful but....I was told the delivery would be a whole week away. I am not complaining about it being delivered early....I would just like to have known as I had no idea if the recipients would be home (and I had already told them to expect a pkg. on the delivery date I was given). The recipients sent me a picture of the gift box and it looked lovely. Everything looked fresh and just as pictured in the ad. I would also like to say my intention was to send a Harry & David box but they're offering of 6 pears at the same price (actually...this box was a little cheaper) as the one here on Amazon seemed expensive when this box also offered cheese, crackers and almonds. The only reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5 was the mistimed delivery. ... show more
