I installed this in my wifes 2015 subaru legacy with the HK amp. I had to use the canbus computer thing with a custom harness i had made to get it working because the amplifier system in her car is overly complicated but that is not the Atoto radio’s fault. Everything works great, the steering wheel buttons are easy to program and modify at any time. We bought it for carplay since we both have iphones but also so we can plug USB in and play movies and videos on road trips and stops along the way. At first, siri would not hear a single thing we would say and the audio for phone calls was sometimes difficult to understand. But i updated to the latest firmware and it totally fixed my issues. Siri works fine now and calls are more clear. It’s extremely snappy and quick and the screen is nice clear quality. Can hardly see the pixels unless you’re real close. There is no issues with lag. Make sure to read the instructions because they are very good. I was having issues with wireless carplay being reliable but then i read the instructions and realized it was my fault. You must be connected to bluetooth1 and also carplayAP wifi for it to work. If your phone likes to automatically connect to other wifi hot spots nearby then that might cause carplay to disconnect. But that’s not the radios fault. You also have the option to use carplay plugged in but we have not needed to. Overall very happy. And kindof bitter that i spent 3x more for a name brand one in my other car with way less features. Next time i’ll probably get ATOTO again for my next car. Oh. The physical mounting of all the hardware was annoying and the screws are cheap and strip easy. But i was patient and it all eventually went together nicely. ... show more

This is a nice unit. It is Works as described appears to be quality made. One of my concerns was getting the steering wheel controls to work properly. It worked fine with the Axxess adapter for my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It’s a bit of work to get the required metra double din dash adapter to fit and it does block my HVAC vents a bit but overall I’m happy with the look. There are also some small screws which attach the unit that are difficult to install and easy to distort while putting in. The Atoto customer service was quick to send me some replacements in case I need them. I’ll be purchasing the rear camera and ODB adapter as well. ... show more

    • horrible connectivity and functionality
phone is constantly disconnected and only works through wifi and Bluetooth which both dont like to work consistently and usually will disconnect half way through a trip and is impossible to get to reconnect once it disconnects, the cable does nothing for connection and doesnt even charge your phone. it's useless majority of the time unless you enjoy being forced to listen to the radio with minimal functionality there as well. the once in a while when it does work, it works pretty okay but almost every single day i find myself wanting to just throw it out the window. ... show more

First I would like to mention that this unit is absolutely worth every penny. It's fast and it does the job really good. I had trouble getting the double din into the frame at the beginning because the atoto is just slightly wider . All I had to do is shave off just a bit on the sides with my dremel and after couple hours I got it going. Next in either for me to keep my steering wheel controls I had to purchase an axxes aswc1 module to get it to work because the after market harness plug and play canbus did not worked with my vehicle even though it did say it did but nothing. So that's how I got mine going. I really recommend it to anyone. For the budget it worth it. It looks awesome. ... show more

    • A bit underpowered, no pinch to zoom
Tested this unit as soon as it arrived. Performance seems fine until you launch into Android Auto. Once you get into Google Maps, performance goes south in a hurry. Noticeable lag on dragging operations, scrolling lists, zooming in and out, etc. Pros: Snappy initial interface. Zero issues with connecting to bluetooth or Android Auto Auto connect for Android Auto worked well Cons: The biggest negative with this unit is the lack of pinch to zoom. No multi-finger actions or gestures work. That wasn't mentioned in the product listing, and it's pretty much expected from a touch screen these days. The icons in the settings are a bit all over the place in terms of theme. Settings are different enough from Android that it takes getting used to even if you're a long time Android user. Afore mentioned performance issues when Android Auto is connected Since I bought this unit primarily as a Carplay and Android Auto hub, I'm a bit disappointed. It's definitely underpowered and could use a faster CPU and more RAM. It's more than $100 more than alternatives with the same specs, without many advantages. ... show more

Wired with provided wire harness in the box, works great, sounds is impressive, looks fantastic, unique features that I like is the placement of the capacitive button, the bottom of the screen is the best location. Don't for get to connect the Illumination wire so when you turn on your park lights, the screen with dim and turn on capacitive lights. I'm since ordered 16 pin Hikity Radio Wiring Harness for Toyota I also went ahead and bought the Atoto dash cam, video quality is sharp, build quality is good, feels heavy, apps works good, the camera records 3 minute or 5 minute clips, starts to record as soon and the deck boots up. ... show more
