The media could not be loaded. I do a lot of walking and wanted a dedicated player for my Bluetooth earbuds. There a several reasonably priced compact mp3 players out there, but they all seemed to be week in either the battery life or Bluetooth area or both. I settled on this one because it was big enough to have a robust battery. It does not disappoint in either area. It came fully charged and the Bluetooth does not drop out unless you leave it on the desk and walk a couple of rooms away. I ordered a flip phone case to carry it, but if you have big pockets like a jacket or cargo pants, that would not be a problem. It is very sturdy and has great sound. My main issue was setup. The interface is not as easy to understand as I would like, but once you figure it out, it works great. Unless you are the type of person that is intimidated by size, weight or complexity, you will love this audio player. Instructions are limited and I was unable to figure out how to create a play list. I emailed support (phinistec@hgdups.com) and they promptly sent me the attached video. You can also just create a playlist folder and add that to the playlist. Great battery life, very good sound quality, sturdy build and massive storage capability at a reasonable price. Product is nicely made.but is hard to navigate. This is not a hi def player but for under fifty bucks it’s ok .you can’t use cheap headphones because the the sound is very high end and tinny sounding. Unit would be better if you could control eQ on unit. It did recognize 24bit wave files and played them with out any issues. All in all it’s worth the money . ITT uses headphones as an antenna. The sd card slot is hard to work seem sd card has a hard time catching you really have to push it in the slot far for it to catch. As I said for an under fifty dollar unit it is well made. And sound ok with the right headphones. Amending ,the player does have eQ it helps the sound a lot on low end, if you want a inexpensive well built unit check this one out. ... show more

    • Amazing battery, sturdy, and easy-to-use

I was in the market for a new player since my old one's battery was failing, so I obviously decided to try and get one with a hefty battery; this player has far exceeded my expectations in that regard. The battery on this lovely device is downright eternal, I've absolutely forgotten to charge it for up to a week at a time (with moderate use) and it'll still have juice left. It's also as structurally sound as its weight impresses, on the contrast to the lighter players I've used before. The software it has is sound, and works without any hitches with my tags and covers. The lack of tactile buttons is something I don't fully like, but the control scheme does its job well, and I have yet to have a concerns over it.     • Great hardware, awful software

Let's get the good things out of the way - the hardware is great. It's slick, it's pleasantly heavy in your hand, the battery life is amazing. However the software that it runs on is just awful. I am currently on the latest version of the software they have to offer and I spent days trying to get it to work right, to no avail. This player has two memory sections - an internal memory and an additional SD card. There are two ways to access the music - Music option and Folder option. If I go through the music option, it lets me choose things by Album or Genre, but if I go by album I do not see a full list of albums I uploaded, I see only a small set of them plus some albums are repeated multiple times (one of them repeats 20 times, the others - even more). If I look by Genre, I only see a single album in each genre and I definitely have more. If I go through the Folder option, the order of tracks is always messed up. I tried different things from the internet - remove the track number, update the Created At/Updated At timestamp - no luck. I spoke to the support and they told me that files are ordered based on the time when they are copied onto the player. Which means if I want to copy an album, I have to drag files over one by one in the right order which is not the way things should be done. We I asked the support person why wouldn't they do a normal thing like order tracks based on the track number he said "Their engineers can't figure out how to do this" which means their engineers are either incompetent or they are using somebody else's operating system and don't know how to work with it which once again means their engineers are incompetent. I am on the latest version of their OS and other people seem to have better luck with it then I do, but for me the experience has been very painful.
