Other than color, the biggest difference I see is the corner fittings on this model are more substantial (a positive). I gave my previous version 4 stars because I wasn't sure how the thin vinyl shelves would hold up. But I can report that after 6 1/2 years it's held up fine even with the shelves being overloaded. It took me just over an hour to put together. Nothing complicated and no tools required. More like a repetitive process building the shelves (I did it watching TV). This one came with 2 extra connectors. While both only have 9 shelves, I use the top as a 10th shelf to hold my boots. Nit picking but I do wish the vinyl shelves were a bit longer so I could squeeze in a 4th pair of (women's) shoes across :) (When I do, they slip through the gap). My original had some shelves stuffed with flats stacked on top of each other - why I finally decided to buy another one. Yes, I have a major shoe problem. Although the cover was ripped, I love love this shoe rack. I have over 50 pairs of shoes and this helped to clear out the clutter of shoes in my closet. I would purchase again. Super easy to put together. Also looks good.

I like this shoe rack for being covered as I don't want my shoes on display. It's not particularly sturdy and the cover looks cheap, but the previous lasted me nearly 10 years - it got too rickety and ugly to keep. Since I haven't been able yet to find a nice closed shoe cabinet of suitable size (they are all too wide, too narrow, or too short) to work in my tiny hallway, I just bought another one of these to replace the old one for now. It's tall and fits a lot of shoes, plus there are side pockets for random accessories and tools. I recently bought the Calmootey 9 Tier Shoe Rack Organizer, and it has been a mixed experience for me. On the positive side, the rack provides ample storage space, effectively holding a large number of shoes, which is great for organization. The nonwoven fabric cover helps keep the shoes dust-free and gives the rack a tidy appearance. However, there are a few drawbacks that affected my overall satisfaction. The assembly process was more complicated than expected, with instructions that were not very clear. The materials used for the frame and shelves feel somewhat flimsy, and the rack doesn't seem as sturdy as I would like, especially when loaded with multiple pairs of shoes. Additionally, the shelves are quite narrow, making it difficult to fit larger shoes or boots. While the Calmootey Shoe Rack Organizer does its job of organizing shoes, its build quality and ease of assembly could be improved. I am a huge fan of this organizer. I made an intentional decision to shed all the boxes my sneakers were sitting in inside the closet and use this to try to manifest more space. It worked. The assembly took me about an hour, but once you get the first shelf or two together you start to pick up speed. I will say you have to be mindful that the brackets can go on different ways but you won't be able to add another shelf if they are not right so you won't get very far and realize that pretty quickly. It is lightweight but sturdy. A seam on the back side of the cover split as I was putting the cover on/pulling down the cover but I could stitch that back together/tape it easily enough if I wanted to but against the wall, and you can't see it. ... show more

The item is not has advertised. It stated that each shelf can hold 3-4 pairs of shoes... That is incorrect... Can only hold two male adult shoes. Also the space between eatch shelf is low cant hold boots as shown im in false advertisement i do Not recommend this product
