The box that the product came in (excluding the standard amazon box that it was within with a few other items) just said what was inside, wasn’t labeled which side was the top. So when I opened the box, I tried to lift up the bag the orchid bark was in but almost dumped the contents since the bag was unsealed on one end and I apparently opened the box from the bottom. The bag itself was very thin so the pieces were trying to rip out of the bag. There was a very small amount of moisture in the bag as well but it’s been pretty hot and humid in my area so I expected some, just be aware if you don’t plan on opening as soon as it arrives. I use this as part of the substrate mix for my terrariums. Its a great mix with healthy chunks of bark mixed in. My only complaint is that it comes in a strangely wrapped bag inside of a box, so it can spill out through the holes in the box. When you get it, I would recommend taking it out of the plastic its wrapped in and bagging it yourself with something like a bin bag in order to prevent dirt leakage. ... show more

Product looks great. Smells good. However, the bag is not sealed. When I picked it up, almost all of it spilled out due to the opening being placed on the bottom.

I needed small pieces of bark to mix into my terrarium substrate and this is exactly what I needed. The bag they have it in is very thin and had a tear in it so I just put the bark in a one gallon ziploc bag, and it fits perfectly.

Does what it needs to do. Pretty good quality bark. My only issue is that it’s in a big, very thin plastic bag. It would have been better to put it in either a thick plastic bag, or one with a zip or snap closure (consequently a thicker bag)
