Out of the box, it oscillates about 8 times with some grease placed to the tip. I gently drilled out the pivot hole with a 3/8 inch drill bit and got it to oscillate a little more than 10 times. I balanced some wheels off of my wife's sedan and it worked out nicely. Smooth at 70 mph.

Must carefully modify and adjust like YouTube shows but after that it works great. I like being able to work on my own vehicles instead of paying a lot of money for someone else too screw up my cars. If you DIY, get it.

Product Arrived on Time. Packaging was good. Assembly was easy. Already used this balancer and it worked great. Not a speed balancer but I remember as a kid most tire shops used this type of balancer before speed balancers became more popular. Accurate enough for my use. Would use this seller again.

    • Design flaw
This item has a design flaw that prevents it from accurately balancing a tire. The hole that the pin sits in is too small. This restricts the point of the balancing pin from ever making contact. Therefore, it’s not the tire weight that is being balanced instead the friction between the pin and hole is stopping the tire from moving freely. ... show more
