    • Got this to play 120hz on ps5 with my new monitor with hdmi 2.1 compatibility

I got a new monitor with hdmi 2.1 ports that allow me to play online gaming at higher speeds and needed this cable. Game play went from 60hz to 120hz. You have to have a monitor with hdmi 2.1 ports. There’s a difference in hdmi 1.4 vs 2.0 vs 2.1 so verify your compatibility. This helps equal out gameplay competitiveness for ps5 against pc users by allowing frame refresh rate to be at higher speeds closer to what people may get with a computer. Took me a while to learn all this so hopefully it helps someone out there. Also, if your internet is lagging or slow and you aren’t using a LAN cable, get one. My internet speeds increased DRAMATICALLY when I used LAN to connect my ps5 directly to my internet router. ... show more

My tv isn't 8k, only 4k, but I bought this for future proofing when I upgrade my tv. Sometimes it will connect to my gaming station other times I have to unplug and replug it in. A slight inconvenience, but it's too late to return the product. Update: so my initial review wasn't that bad was probably more on my tv than the hominid cable itself, but the company emailed back and offer to refund me the product. I needed a replacement HDMI for my Xbox Series X, but didn't want to downgrade. I searched for a while and finally decided on this one. I'm glad I did. The added length is a real plus, and I didn't notice any degradation in audio or video quality with the increased length. I'm still able to get 4k at 120hz with no issues, with smooth gameplay and video quality while watching movies. The braided exterior of the cable makes it feel more sturdy and protected. I used this for a complete home theater remodel, and unfortunately I will have to have it completely rewired. The space was built with the thought the distance would work, but the 50 foot version does not deliver ANY video. Tried as an EARC too and sound drops in and out every few seconds! After further research I understand 50 feet is never recommended for a passive HDMI. They should not make this or sell it. UPDATE: The seller contacted me and did all they could do to mitigate the inconvenience. I still wouldn’t purchase the 50 ft version, but I have and am purchasing from this company again. Absolutely improved the picture quality over regular HDMI cables, and RCA connection video may as well be rabbit ears moreover the sound is otherworldly it’s like they’re in the room with you! The difference in sound quality between these cables and RCA connections is a new experience.

This cable passed every signal I needed and I like the future proof feeling with 8K support. What makes this cable preferred over other 8K cables is it appears heavy enough yet its quite flexible. The cable bends easily holding its shape for the most part making it each to route. The cable is easy to flex and position as needed.
