I purchased this as a gift for my 20something son. His mattress was nearing its end of use, and he was complaining that his back was starting to hurt. I saw this on sale and took a chance. This was our first mattress in a box . I admit I didn't have high hopes. He dragged it up the stairs and set it up . We kept checking on it to see if it was expanding before he tried it out. It's perfect for him! He's very picky on so many things but he loves this mattress. It's just the right amount of firmness . I was even impressed when I sat down on it. The mattress is quite lumpy feeling I think due to the springs. Not sure if they are supposed to be this way or it’s a defect, but the mattress is definitely not comfortable.

With all 5 star reviews, I had decent expectations with this mattress intended for my toddler. Straight out of the box, I could tell it wasn’t going to very comfortable. I gave it three days to fully air out and still it feels very springy. Like an air mattress when you move around, one side moves and the entire mattress bounces around. I have to be very careful when I’m climbing out of bed to not wake my kid. If I hadn’t just gone through the process of returning another mattress (due to ordering the wrong size, my mistake) I would send this one back..
